New research has found that people with "dark" personality characteristics, such as psychopathy and narcissism, are less likely to comply with efforts to impede the spread of the novel coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 and more likely to stockpile goods such as food and toilet paper.
Two new studies, both published in the journal Personality and Individual Differences, reinforce previous findings that the "Dark Triad" of narcissism, psychopathy, and Machiavellianism is associated with ignoring preventative COVID-19 measures.
But the new research indicates that health beliefs and situational perceptions may play a more important role than personality traits alone.

I always find people who start out with insults are angry because they know they are wrong. There are 7 studies over the past ~10+ years not one of them shown *any* value in wearing loose fitting cloth masks. A virus particle is 1000 times smaller than the fiber holes in your mask. So your statement that "And the right masks are very effective at their goal." is pure fantasy backed bysome bizarre group thought experiment. I should add that here in UK you are not supposed to wear medical grade masks. You have been put in a state of fear and you have been conned. Go buy a packet of tissues/handkerchief to sneeze/cough/cry into.

True, but the virus particles don't fly solo so their individual size is not important. As I've read the science, the virus particles travel in tiny droplets (over a wide size range). If you are contagious it's these droplets which are caught by the mask when you exhale/cough/sneeze, helps if the fabric is absorbent like cotton.

Yes which is why my last line is go buy a handkerchief. Much more sanitary than a mask, doesn't leave disposible masks lying all over the streets and filling up refuse dumps.

The only disposable masks on the streets are thrown there by Boomers who only wear a mask on one condition. When Boomers are yelled at for being narcissistic scum.

The simpler solution would be for every shopkeeper to shoot Boomers dead.
