New Zealand has just become the first country to publish an algorithm charter regulating the use of algorithms and data by government agencies:

The Algorithm charter for Aotearoa New Zealand demonstrates a commitment to ensuring New Zealanders have confidence in how government agencies use algorithms. The charter is one of many ways that government demonstrates transparency and accountability in the use of data.

To quote the Minister for Statistics:

"Using algorithms to analyse data and inform decisions does not come without its risks," he said. "It is important, therefore, that people have confidence that these algorithms are being used in a fair, ethical, and transparent way. And that's what this Charter is all about."

Watch this hand weave a magic ptrotection. THIS hand, NOT the other. Oh, the other... well "ignore the funny man behind the curtain".
Let me explain. It is an election year in Clownland again. Voting papers sent out are an identity thief's wet dream - full names, date of birth, address and if you were dumbf*k enough to give them those, email and phone number too. "Please send it back if its not you" it say on the envelpoe. :) :) :)
Then you look at the website Vote.NZ - a cookie from them is ok. BUT then: googletagmanager.com (Google is NOT my government), raygun.io (never heard of them, another spy outfit?), and zdassest.com (wtf?). Jacinda - I WILL _NOT_ TOUCH YOUR INDIAN CONTRACTOR BUILT RUBBISH NON-SECURE DATA-LEAKING WEBSITE. Vote Labour OUT!!!

With javascript disabled, vote.nz [vote.nz] has 3 cookies all from vote.nz. 2 of these appear to be from the Incapsula CDN. While we await PTZ commentary on the ongoing adventures of the evil Jacinda, why don't you see if the site works without script?

      Guess not...

This application cannot be used with Javascript disabled.

If you are unable to turn on Javascript, you can instead download an enrolment form [vote.nz] and use it either to enrol to vote, or to advise us of changes to your enrolment details.

Does Jacinda need to enroll in a spelling course or is that how you guys rol?

Enrolment is the standard spelling in British English, which breaks the general rule that British words carry with them an extra consonant.
