Do you have celebration plans for Wookiee Life Day? According to Disney, it's the galaxy's "most cheerful and magical holiday," so on November 17, the company will celebrate the event on Disney+ with a Lego Star Wars Holiday Special. Set immediately after Rise of the Skywalker, Rey and BB-8 go on a journey through the nine-film timeline that promises to give screen time to goodies and baddies current and past. Except it's all done in Lego, so painted tongues will be firmly in plastic cheeks.

Hopefully, somewhat better than the lesser known: Star Wars Holiday Special

The Star Wars Holiday Special[a] is a 1978 American television special set in the universe of the Star Wars science-fiction media franchise. Directed by Steve Binder, it was the first Star Wars spin-off film, set between the events of the original film and The Empire Strikes Back (1980). It stars the main cast of the original Star Wars and introduces the character of Boba Fett, who appeared in later films.

The special is notorious for its extremely negative reception and has never been rebroadcast nor officially released on home video.[2][3] It has become something of a cultural legend due to the underground quality of its existence. It has been viewed and distributed in off-air recordings made from its original telecast by fans as bootleg copies, and it has also been uploaded to content-sharing websites.

I'm done with Star Wars. Had enough.
Even this, which is obviously some sort of sanctioned parody just doesn't interest me.
Surely we've already reached peak Star Wars.

Jumped the shark long ago, in a galaxy far far away...

Still, even if Solo ripped off the train robbery from Firefly, it was fun to watch. That episode 9 thing was some awful BS though - felt like I had to keep watching it just to experience the train wreck first hand.

After the awful plot, awful acting and ridiculous wokery which made the whole thing a bad parody of itself, I swore off all Star Wars after episode 8. Haven't even thought of watching 9 yet; is it even worse than 8?

9 is like the epitome of "how bad could it get?" To get any worse, they'd have to go back to cheezeball costumes like the Ewoks movies (were there 2 Ewoks movies, I forget...) - the plot is already that clumsy and thin. And, for reference, I kinda liked 8... just as a way to pass the time, not as a serious 'oh, this is great imaginative stuff...'

9 is better than 8. I would not have been mad about spending my money on that. 8 I was mad about. Still not sure if 8 tops 2 but it is up there. 9 is about as enjoyable as say the Solo movie. Not terrible, not great. That there is a better cut out there makes me very excited as I kinda liked 9. You can however see that the movie was in development hell. The storylines are all over the place. They cut Matt Smith?! Why?! That would have been awesome.

Frankly it is worth renting but not buying.

      From the 1970-1980s.

The Lando Calrissian and Han Solo trilogies from back then had all kinds of heists, scams and even a prison break!

Honestly if Disney didn't have NIH syndrome, they already had the novel storylines for a few dozen trilogies out of the Star Wars fiction of the 70s-90s.

Hello if they needed campy teen/kid content, there was the Young Jedi Knights too, which graduated into adult novels during the early 00s.
