U.S. Army Report Describes North Korea's Cyber Warfare Capabilities:

A report published recently by the U.S. Army describes North Korea's cyber warfare capabilities and provides information on various units and their missions.

The 332-page report, titled "North Korean Tactics," details North Korean forces and their actions, and one chapter focuses on electronic intelligence warfare, which Pyongyang allegedly uses to collect information on its enemies, deceive its enemies, and launch disruptive and destructive attacks, particularly ones aimed at communication and information systems and infrastructure.

North Korea's electronic warfare includes both lethal and non-lethal methods. Non-lethal methods include electronic jamming and signals reconnaissance, while lethal methods can include physical destruction of targets supporting its enemy's decision-making process.

South Korea estimates North Korea's cyberwarfare unit, Bureau 121, has 6,000 members.

In order to engage in cyberwarfare, they need electrical power and a telecom connection, both of which are hard to come by for North Korea.

What would fix, or at least improve the users considerably would be a 20 minute rest requirement between AC comments posted from any particular IP address.

No, it's not a waste of time. People of good conscience should act, though, to encourage more productive conversation in the community. I traditionally have not moderated a whole lot because I have preferred to respond, but lately I have been using mod points to try to counteract the troll mods even if they really were trying to troll.

Fission quality refined uranium is also hard to come by, but the North Korean military manages...

I interviewed with an "electrical engineering commune" on the beach in Costa Rica. The families lived in un-airconditioned huts on the beach, grew food in the gardens, etc. while the engineers did their work in an air-conditioned structure up out of the flood zone, suitable to the needs of the equipment they were working with.

Played with things that can hurt.

    Not cards.

Can they do this? Or are they. bluffing?

And, knowing how fragile my own glass house is, rift with backdoors, and my own ignorance, I certainly don't go to bed at night, thinking my infrastructure will function as surely as the tools in grandpa's toolbox.

But glass houses are all that is available.

Infrastructure laced with backdoors claimed to be rights enforcement. But can be used by anybody to shut you down. And our Congress, both Republicans and Democrats, voted unanimously for this.

I think the Republicans abandoned their voter base when they shook hands on this one.
