      The whole situation could have been avoided had there not been a broken beer bottle present there.

      It's time the US had a long, serious talk about the necessity to finally ban beer bottles and the substance that they contain, the consumption of which leads to all kinds of mischief, trouble, breakage of containers, and stabbings!
