Emacs vs. vi; PC vs. Mac; Windows vs. Linux; Sony vs. Nintendo. Holy wars of technological preference have been nothing new since the adolescence of computing technology, and are often the subject of many a debate here.

However, a recent argument between two roommates about the superiority of Apple vs. Android technologies has taken a bloody turn worthy of a bromance movie sequence:

As they tussled in a parking lot, the men allegedly struck and jabbed each other with broken beer bottles. Mendez and Ecevo suffered minor wounds during the fight and were transported to a local hospital for treatment of cuts and bruises.

Which raises the question - How close have you all come to violence during a technological argument?

I've had to walk away a few times. I've been noted by several people how patient I am with people, but when someone doesn't even try and I'm forced to work with them for an extended period of time, it takes a tremendous effort to keep my cool. On rare occasion (on the worst days), I still wind up freaking people out. My co-workers aren't used to me being angry. (I get angry, but I don't display it in a work environment.) I don't usually yell. I don't become physical. There is something I have yet to identify that occurs on my face, though, and people get either frightened of me or really worried about my well being. I then know I have to walk away.

For those who want to laugh and weep, I found this reddit [reddit.com]. It's tales from tech support. Although I'm a programmer, I have been down these trenches many times in many different ways. It's nice to know I'm alone. I thought some of you might like these stories as well.
