The Independent reports:

Psychologist and professor emeritus at Stanford University Phillip Zimbardo (who led the team of researchers who conducted the Stanford Prison Experiment) has made the warnings, which form a major part of his latest book, Man (Dis)Connected.

Zimbardo says (in this TED talk) there is a "crisis" amongst young men, a high number of whom are experiencing a "new form of addiction" to excessive use of pornography and video games. Citing the research he and his team conducted for the book, he says: "It begins to change brain function. It begins to change the reward centre of the brain, and produces a kind of excitement and addiction."

An article from Psychology Today, however, argues that there are no demonstrable scientific links between porn consumption and the disputed phenomenon called 'Porn-Induced Erectile Dysfunction.'

Could this problem be manifesting itself as the rise of the Hikikomori?

This is just a small part of a much larger phenomenon: the concept of gender no longer exists.

Today, somebody can be born a male, but can socially and, with surgery, identify as female. Doctors can craft a vagina, labia and clitoris out of a penis and scrotum.

Somebody can also be born a female, but can socially and, with surgery, identify as male. Doctors can craft a penis and scrotum out of a vagina and labia.

It's no wonder that people are confused. The concept of gender no longer exists. A penis and scrotum no longer make somebody male. A vagina and labia no longer make somebody female.

We live in a world where penises and scrotums are irrelevant; where vaginas and labia are irrelevant. This has never happened before, over the millions of years that humans have existed. And yet we wonder why young men are "confused"? Concepts that have remained unchanged throughout human history have been thrown out during the past generation. You're damn fucking right that will lead to confusion!

    I pity the confused.

Why would transsexuals be jobless? Are they not capable of doing work like anyone else?

Transsexuals are not a good cultural fit because the interviewer gets confused about whether the applicant is fuckable.

That's why the interviewer needs to be bisexual. That way any sort of interviewee is potentially fuckable.

Well, we spent all this time asking if we could without even once thinking about the question of whether we should.

As usual, no one to blame but ourselves.

I moderated you underrated, because while I abhor your view and think it beyond stupid, it is one that is shared by a lot of people and hence, possibly, not a troll.

That said, like the gender fluid crowd remains a tiny fraction of the whole populace. I really don't think there is all that much confusion going on.

It's no wonder that people are confused.

I would have said that it is only you who is confused, but then I saw that you have apparently been upmodded (as "interesting", of all things). I can assure you that my penis and scrotum are not irrelevant. Neither are the vaginas and labias of the women I am attracted to. Your confusion is to suppose that a man can become a woman through surgery. Newsflash: he can't. He might be able to mimic the part, but he is still just a man dressed in drag. I'm sure this will get me downmodded but it is still true.
