The Independent reports:

Psychologist and professor emeritus at Stanford University Phillip Zimbardo (who led the team of researchers who conducted the Stanford Prison Experiment) has made the warnings, which form a major part of his latest book, Man (Dis)Connected.

Zimbardo says (in this TED talk) there is a "crisis" amongst young men, a high number of whom are experiencing a "new form of addiction" to excessive use of pornography and video games. Citing the research he and his team conducted for the book, he says: "It begins to change brain function. It begins to change the reward centre of the brain, and produces a kind of excitement and addiction."

An article from Psychology Today, however, argues that there are no demonstrable scientific links between porn consumption and the disputed phenomenon called 'Porn-Induced Erectile Dysfunction.'

Could this problem be manifesting itself as the rise of the Hikikomori?

Yeah, kids these days. Especially the women. Not sexist at all.

Aside from your being wrong (#killallmen amirite?) what bearing does that have on shit? I never said men of the same age aren't just as painful. I just don't have to put up with their bullshit to try to form a relationship. Ergo, I can't speak about it, so I didn't.

    How so?

I know A guy who currently smokes pot who has a job and a lifestyle where he can both afford it AND smoke it without losing his job. That's not what it was years ago. Also, when was the last time you knew of a place you could score acid? I haven't since high school.

You chastise me for reading into something you did not say and in the same comment you did the same thing.

You said that "the kids these days, especially women" were not sexist. The proposal of killing all men, specifically, is pretty much basically sexist. Like, basically by nature. If you would care to look, you would see this a thing that is a viewpoint in which subsets of said people share.

Either you were being sarcastic, or I provided you a counterexample. I'm also unsure of how I actually chastised you, other than to say you were wrong (either true, or Poe's Law). I am sorry if this made you uncomfortable or feel severely rebuked. That was not the intention, of like, you know, me citing things that have happened as a rebuttal to what I presumed to be your point.

Since the point of your message was apparently lost on me, would you care to try to elaborate?

15 years of daily smoking. Full time job (Senior DBA). Full time single dad too.

Until about 6 months ago, you could purchase LSZ and AL-LAD online. They are analogues of LSD.

The LSZ was real nice. I could not really tell it apart from the street acid I have bought over the years.

Acid is more difficult to get street wise, compared to the popular drugs like cocaine and weed. It's still out there and available though.
