The BBC reports:
Intervention by police within the first 24 hours of a terrorist event could be key to halting the spread of cyber-hate, a new study has found.
Cardiff University researchers found online hate in the aftermath of the murder of Lee Rigby peaked in the first 24 hours then declined sharply.
The research is being published in the British Journal of Criminology on the second anniversary of his murder near Woolwich Barracks in London.
They found tweets from police and media were about five times more likely to be retweeted compared with tweets from other users following the attack.
[...] During the study, social and computer scientists at the university focused on the production and spread of racial and religious cyberhate and the Twitter battle between police and far-right political groups in the first 36 hours following the attack.
[...] Dr Matthew Williams said: "We concluded that cyber-hate has a 'half-life' following crime events of national interest.
"The sharp de-escalation of hate can be explained by post-event media and police Twitter messages that have a defusing effect and counter-speech from everyday Twitter users that challenge abusers."
Dr Pete Burnap said: "The ability to observe a large portion of the population in near real-time via social media networks provides those responsible for ensuring the safety of the public a new window onto mass social reaction."

Point taken. I am giving to much credit to the common man. But - if it is necessary to awaken the common man's hate before he will defend hearth and home - then so be it. Let him hate.
And, that IS the issue here. Islam is showing it's true self in the Levant today, murdering non-Muslims, murdering the wrong flavor Muslims, destroying non-Islamic architecture, using bulldozers to obliterate entire cities.

I heartily disagree. The modern generation of people born to Muslim families will gradually become more integrated as they become more exposed to other ways of thinking. It's inevitable, just a bit slow.

I'm voicing a hopeful opinion. I think the hope comes from past experience and human nature. Assimilation is inevitable, by sheer weight of numbers. The death cult can not sustain itself indefinitely, especially since it is now in direct contact with the more enlightened world. I think you will see an increasing number of death cult recruits (volunteers, brainwashed and forced) becoming disillusioned and defecting [bbc.co.uk], just like the Nazis towards the later stages of the second world war.

I think that you are unaware of two key facts, both related to population.
The Muslim population grows exponentially, just as the world population grew 200 years ago, up to about 40 years ago.
The European population is no longer growing. White reproduction in Europe and in the US has fallen below replacement levels.
The assimilation promises to go the opposite direction from which you expect it to go. The average female immigrant from any Islamic country can be expected to produce 5 or more children. The average white European female can be expected to produce two or fewer children. How many generations until the Europeans are overwhelmed? Not many!

My point is that you can't keep information from people. Even places like East Germany and the USSR fell eventually, despite efforts to control what the population saw, heard and read. It will be the same with Islam and religion in general. Fundamentalism will die away, and sooner than you imagine. It's already happening.

No, there isn't much difference. The children of religious fundamentalists haven't chosen to be ignorant. They haven't chosen anything. They've had no choice at all and they've been kept in an information black-out so that they will find it very difficult to form their own beliefs and opinions.

You are aware that there are a number of white Muslims, right? If I recall correctly (and I may not be) I dimly recall reading a study/data¹ that showed the world's population of white Muslims has one of the highest growth rates percentage-wise. As a mix of brown and pasty and a practicing Buddhist, I may be mistaken but 'tis what I recall but do not see the site when I query the mighty Google Answer Machine. As it does not directly involve me my interest was lowered at the time. I have no fear of brown or olive people (or of white people for that matter) nor do I fear terrorist attacks. Being scared of them is what they want you² to do and is giving them power to lord over you. No, not something I am going to do, worry about, or consider when deciding my actions.

It isn't the brown, olive, black, or sand colored people that I fear. It's the damned fool white people who have given up, and just don't give a damn. They have no pride in themselves, their ancestors, or their heritage - much less their nation and/or country.
Maybe it's shame. I'm ashamed of all the silly cunts reveling in that stupid assed white guilt thing. Maybe the darker colored people deserve to inherit the earth.
Truth be known, my descendants are already further away from the Europeans than I am, and that's only going to accelerate, based on projected demographics. My great-greats are going to be Mexicans and Indians.

I find it odd that people who are white are not allowed to be proud of it. Other races can be proud. It is like men can not mention that they have (or should have) certain rights without being sexist. If you are proud of being white you are a racist. If you are proud of being black you are an activist. I am a combination of all the above and Native American so, you are all bigots as far as I am concerned. *grins*

Meanwhile in the real world Sweden still has the Sami people, Japan has the Ainu, Russia has the Kazakhs, the UK has the Scottish etc... Hell, China still has Tibetians despite actively prosecuting them. Assimilation of minorities is far from inevitable.

My solution is too radical to implement at this time, and is too complex to describe here, but I will give you a hint:
It involves the extinction of religions(and other 'belief systems' that foster 'us vs. them' attitudes), and the US pulling it's military mostly back inside the US(and a big trimming), and STOP FUCKING AROUND WITH THE REST OF THE WORLD! Getting money out of politics, and castrating the military-industrial complex. Put the research and development into healthier and sustainable energy production instead of into more weapons. Education and healthcare for all. and much more. And all of that is just a small tip of the iceberg...
Besides, while I CAN build a campfire PDQ, I don't even know the words to 'Kumbayah', and have NEVER sang it...and don't plan to, as I'm an atheist.

If it's to radical and complex for you to put it into words - then it is worthless. It looks to me like you want to re-engineer all of society to confrom to your views. Didn't Joseph Stalin do that? What are the numbers now? How many died to prove Stalin right? Some shuffled off to Siberia, to die of cold and exposure. Others sent to farms to grow things that would not grow in those areas? Others sent to prisons, to be starved, or shot, or just tortured to death. So - do you think that you have Joe's charisma? Can you persuade the masses to follow your edicts to their graves?
