Former Swedish Pirate Party leader and Internet activist Rick Falkvinge launched a new venture yesterday. Intended to rival established media, Falconwings provisions quality news bulletins that are easily shared via the project's automated image creation process. A total of 600 writers are being recruited, with the sole criteria being the ability to consistently author summaries of 450 characters, split into three principle sentences: Fact, Background and Satire.
Initial signs have been promising, with the various tweets from candidates exceeding expectations in terms of quality and audience.
Are there any budding Soylentils interested in giving this a try?

As for Falcon Wing or whatever this is, it seems well placed to inject meme-ish content into Facebook or Twitter feeds. Embedding limited amounts of text that can't be selected (easily) into images isn't my cup of tea.

Whatever it is, it will be invisible. Bitmapped images that have speckles that some people might consider to resemble text is a far cry from anything that search engines can use and index. If the search engines can't read it, then it is as good as invisible.
It is not even possible, as graphics, to highlight the text and copy it to a message or any other form of communication.
Lastly, as it is invisible to search engines, it is also invisible to screen readers. So this service locks out anyone with very poor to no vision and who is thus reliant on screen readers. Whatever country or zone he is basing this in is likely to hav4e guidelines and regulations regarding accessibility.
I wish him luck in taking on Old Media, but not like this. There are other ways around ad blocking. Most of which involve making the ads safer and more standards oriented.

You forgot hashtags. The users (or Bitcoin-paid writers) will add them voluntarily to help promote "memes" on "social media"

Search engines are easy to fix. Serve txt to bots, and lynx and pic to other users...
And since we don't care about bots that don't follow rules, they get pics too. Though luck.
And of course someone, somewhere will pretend to be Google and copy the text to put it on...
