According to an announcement by Voat administrator Atko, HostEurope.de has shut down the servers of Reddit alternative Voat on the grounds of Voat hosting "political [sic] incorrect" content. This was done without warning and without reference to any specific content. Voat has since moved to CloudFlare.
takyon: CloudFlare is displaying Error 520 for the site, so here are some other articles about Voat:

From VentureBeat:
"Our hosting provider, hosteurope.de, has terminated all our contracts and shut down all our servers without issuing a warning or trying to talk to us," wrote Atko. "This includes my private server which was only used to host my girlfriend's blog. She is a scientist. She published her research papers on that blog (preformatted papers to which she owns the copyright). That server contained no other data whatsoever."
Atko says the only reasons he was given by the host were: "We have received significant information that the content on your server includes political incorrect parts that are unacceptable for us" and "we cannot keep bond of trust to you as our customer."

Hello? I Spilled Zima into My Boyfriend's Counter-strike Server
2000-10-05
Victim Pic Large
Hello, tech support? Yes I'll hold.
...
Hmmm. Mnn.
Sons of bitches. Sure I'll hold. Eggheaded ... mother-whumpin ... Anybody home? What kind of music is that? I think it's the Muzak version of "Zombie" from the Cranberries. Tech support on this campus sucks balls -- hello? Oh, uh, oh sorry, I was just talking to myself. That part I said about the balls, that wasn't recorded for customer service purposes was it?
Anyways, yeah, sorry. The problem is -- yes it's a hardware problem, I think. It's a PC. Not mine, it's my boyfriend's. No, I think it's his personal machine. I think it was made by the DvD company -- well no, that's what it says on the front drawer thing. Shut up. Aren't you Frank, the guy who sits across from me in English? I knew it! Look bitch, you can hardly call me stupid after I helped rewrite your mid-term paper last semester, you illiterate moron.
Wait, don't hang up, this is serious. My boyfriend runs a video game server from his room here, and I just spilled my Zima into it. I know Zima's a chick drink, ass -- I'm a CHICK! Yes. Into the top. No, it's still on. Yeah, I dunno how to test it. It's some game he plays, you know, the one with the guys and the guns. Country-Strike or something -- yes, that's it! Counter-Strike.
What do you mean you're on the server right now? You're playing it? It's fine? YOU PUT ME ON HOLD TO PLAY YOUR STUPID VIDEO GAME!?
Don't call me that. Stop laughing. I'm not the one playing games when I'm supposed to be working. I don't care if you can get away with it -- oh is that so? You think, hunh? Well how about I dump some more ZIMA in this sucker you wall-eyed freak? You like that? Hah hah! Oh -- oh God smoke ... hello? Hello?
Victim Pic Small I can't believe the way you losers are voting. You're all a bunch of fans of that Counter-Crap game, aren't you? I would spill something into the web servers, but I drank it all.

I regard most of the entertainers I've ever met as quite a lot more insightful than most of the attorneys I've ever met.

Given that practicing attorneys have all passed it, that leads them to believe that they know quite a lot more than those who haven't studied law.
Powells City of Books here in Portland has quite a good legal section, not just the Nolo Press self-help books but the ones practicing attorneys actually use for their work.
I was completely dumbfounded to find that most are quite a lot cheaper than the technical books you and I use, but also that they were quite easy to read. They pale in comparison to the books I had to read for my Physics degree.
While I do know some intelligent, insightful attorneys I know some complete idiots as well. I don't know for sure but have reason to believe that law school and the bar exam are so difficult because the people who want to become attorneys just aren't all that bright.
