According to an announcement by Voat administrator Atko, HostEurope.de has shut down the servers of Reddit alternative Voat on the grounds of Voat hosting "political [sic] incorrect" content. This was done without warning and without reference to any specific content. Voat has since moved to CloudFlare.
takyon: CloudFlare is displaying Error 520 for the site, so here are some other articles about Voat:

From VentureBeat:
"Our hosting provider, hosteurope.de, has terminated all our contracts and shut down all our servers without issuing a warning or trying to talk to us," wrote Atko. "This includes my private server which was only used to host my girlfriend's blog. She is a scientist. She published her research papers on that blog (preformatted papers to which she owns the copyright). That server contained no other data whatsoever."
Atko says the only reasons he was given by the host were: "We have received significant information that the content on your server includes political incorrect parts that are unacceptable for us" and "we cannot keep bond of trust to you as our customer."

mostly because I was into the theatre when I was in high school.
I regard most of the entertainers I've ever met as quite a lot more insightful than most of the attorneys I've ever met.

Given that practicing attorneys have all passed it, that leads them to believe that they know quite a lot more than those who haven't studied law.
Powells City of Books here in Portland has quite a good legal section, not just the Nolo Press self-help books but the ones practicing attorneys actually use for their work.
I was completely dumbfounded to find that most are quite a lot cheaper than the technical books you and I use, but also that they were quite easy to read. They pale in comparison to the books I had to read for my Physics degree.
While I do know some intelligent, insightful attorneys I know some complete idiots as well. I don't know for sure but have reason to believe that law school and the bar exam are so difficult because the people who want to become attorneys just aren't all that bright.
