I highly disagree with "dox the hell out of them", hold them to their own standards. Point out how THEY are the intolerant bigots. Point to the truth, show what they do is unacceptable, don't stoop to their level.

You'll never change their minds, but you expose them to people that don't understand the behaviour who simply agreed with them because it was politically correct to do so or because it appears theirs was the majority opinion. That's how they operate, they shame people who disagree with them into being quiet, which means they're the only ones people get to hear. When they've gathered enough support and it looks like there's no opposition it's a snap for them to have legislation put in place or force private entities to conform to their point of view.

This is a good description of how conformity is used [youtube.com]

And this is why you nice polite "National Review" types always lose. You insist that it is better to lose with honor because eventually the silent moderate majority will realize how awful the other side is by your noble example. But they are afraid and by definition poorly attached to any political viewpoint so even if they do sorta agree with us they will DO NOTHING.

Sorry, if the battle is to be won, we must win it; and to win requires actually fighting the other side. If you refuse to pick up your sword then at least go in peace and allow those more willing to have more room to swing. Gandalf isn't coming at dawn with a fresh new army of reinforcements right when all hope is lost. If we lose our civilization goes and a new Dark Age falls. The other side fights with everything it has for the Adversary while we worry about niceties.

Extremism hurts everyone. I believe the issue is most people are apathetic which allows vocal minorities to control a message. Showing people it is a minority and convincing them to speak out is key to getting them to ignore that minority. The only reason politicians side with "SJW" is because they're loud and precised to be the popular opinion.

See my other post for suggestions on dealing with this without resorting to their tactics:

For all the bad PR GamerGate gets, they've been incredibly successful in exposing and dealing with these types of people. Most of the journalist that tried to smear GamerGate have been let go and/or moved on. Some complain they can't find work now, they've become unhireable (Alex Lifschitz, Kim Crawley) and beg for money from GamerGhazi and get eaten alive by them for stepping out of line. Other journalist, like Ian Miles Cheong, have completely flipped sides because of how bad "SJW" are to them. Some have been refactored out of the sites they did work for (Leigh Alexander and Ben Kuchera)

It's a slow and painful fight, but strides are being made all the time.

This tactic won't work. They routinely ignore logic and reason. They have no shame. They will stoop to any level.

An example of how many of them think: "Only the police should have guns. The people should be disarmed because they cannot be trusted." and "Police routinely abuse their powers and murder innocent people daily. They cannot be trusted." It doesn't matter if you think those statements are true or false. Assuming they are true, they never make the connection.
It's complete doublethink and it's not the only issue where they think this way. Many of them believe that it's impossible to be discriminatory toward certain ethnicities while constantly complaining of ethnic discrimination toward other ethnicities. Their views on what constitutes gender and gender discrimination are even more bizarre and socially perilous. You probably think I'm exaggerating but if you can stomach their writing, check out SRS and Tumblr. It's quite the pass through the looking glass.

These people are idealogical extremists and should be recognized as such.
Many of them are so called "Useful Idiots".

Follow the money and the media coverage and you'll see who is using them to promote these authoritarian ideas wrapped in "pseudo-leftism" in order to make them appealing to a younger crowd.

It won't even take you very long. It's somewhat of an "Open Secret".

Been following GamerGate for 10 months, you don't have to lecture me on this. I'm extremely aware of tumblr, SRS and GamerGhazi ^_^

When I started with GamerGate I was only in it for JUST changing ethical practices in the games journalism industry. The people you talk about are the reason I ended up staying even after policies were updated. They are GamerGate's best recruiting tool, five minutes of a neutral party listening to them and they'll be running the other way or be pushed into the opposing camp because some of their ideologies are just to extreme, and contradictory, for most people to stomach. ANYTHING other than 100% compliance is unacceptable.

It's important to recognize "SJW", for lack of a better term sorry, are their own worst enemies. Don't become them while fighting them.
