What Distro Do Soylentils Use?

I'm wondering what Linux distros my fellow soylentils use, and why.

I myself have loved Fedora since version 7, and never cared much for Debian systems. My desktops either run Fedora or a source-built XFCE system. What distros do you use, what architectures, and why do you use them? Are there any distros you wish were still around?

    I game, so Windows. Also my "laptop" is a Surface Pro 3, which I quite like.

    In the Unix-like world, I ran Ubuntu until it started to suck. Then I switched to Mint only to find that it sucked almost exactly as much. Realized the problem wasn't Ubuntu or Mint at all, but GNOME, and switched to Arch with... well, no desktop environment at all, but most of the stuff I used came from LXDE. Along came systemd, which completely fucked up my (actual, non-SP3) laptop's ability to connect to any networks ever. Briefly switched to some non-systemd Linux distro -- I forget which -- and had huge problems getting ZFS-on-Linux to work with it. Decided that I was being stupid and went to FreeBSD, since it offered all the stuff I wanted out of the box. FreeBSD is the "distro" for people who like spending a couple hours setting up a desktop environment and getting it Just So, but then never having to touch it ever again.

    FreeBSD is great. If it had comparable hardware and software support, I'd never use Linux again. But my true love is still Solaris. Though at this point I should say Solaris is the one that got away. Or perhaps the one who left me for an abusive asshole who's now keeping it strung out on heroin and pimping it to high-powered businessmen until it's too burnt-out for anyone to want. Well, to the extent this metaphor works at all, Solaris has still got a special place in my heart.
