In the study of about 1,400 US youths, 47% of middle-school boys and 61% of high school boys agreed that women are treated as sex objects too often in games.

The findings, gathered by education consultant Rosalind Wiseman and games writer Ashley Burch, counter familiar assumptions that boys will voraciously consume media images of scantily clad women without a second thought.

For many years in the mainstream games industry, there has been an apparent assumption that the male teen demographic was the only one that mattered. Much of the time this meant beefy male protagonists (to identify with – or aspire to) and sexualised women (too gaze at or rescue).

The survey questions and methodology used are not disclosed in the article.

I thought the term "SJW" was usually used to describe people who, for example, create nonsensical giant lists of things they think makes someone a rape supporter (like going to strip clubs or looking at porn).

Regardless, it just seems like another ambiguous label. I'd rather people just debunk the arguments put forth by these morons than get too caught up in trying to put a label on them.

The whole point is the labeling [wikipedia.org], used to attack [wikipedia.org] and demonize the "enemy" [wikipedia.org] (anyone who disagrees [wikipedia.org] with the person using it), appeal to prejudice [wikipedia.org] (by never defining [wikipedia.org] it, it just means those kinds of people, where "those" people are different for everyone), and appeal to fear [wikipedia.org] and spread FUD [wikipedia.org] (because there's allegedly an army of them trying to ruin [wikipedia.org] everyone's lives or something).

Oh, you mean how everyone, even self-proclaimed feminists [inquisitr.com], with a penis is eventually labelled a misogynist by the cult of SJW twats? Since you seem to be too clueless to grok what an SWJ is without some hand-holding, here goes:

      • If you regularly use the term "social justice" and mean it.
      • Ditto patriarchy.
      • Ditto misogynist.
      • Ditto racist.
      • Ditto homophobe.
      • Ditto cis.
      • If you believe the wrongs of some people can and should ever be made up for by others.
      • If you believe doing so should be mandatory by law.
      • If you routinely think or call others things like shitlord for simply disagreeing with you.
      • If you believe it's okay to doxx or otherwise harass someone simply for disagreeing with you.
      • If you believe it's okay to lie if it's necessary to maintain your chosen narrative.

Fit more than two of those and you are most likely among the pieces of totalitarian shit known as SJWs.
