Mozilla CEO Chris Beard has threatened to fire an anonymous person complaining about "social justice bullies" at Mozilla on Reddit, should the person be discovered to be an employee.

Chris Beard stated that the Reddit user aoiyama's complaints "crossed the line" in a series of posts about the women in the company, including recently departed community organizer Christie Koehler. In a series of tweets earlier this month, Koehler complained about Mozilla's lack of diversity in the workplace and its failure to address accessibility issues.

The Reddit user's comments:

"Frankly everyone was glad to see the back of Christie Koehler. She was batshit insane and permanently offended at everything," the user wrote. "When she and the rest of her blue-haired nose-pierced asshole feminists are gone, the tech industry will breathe a sigh of relief." It was that remark that appeared to trigger Beard's warning today. "When I talk about crossing the line from criticism to hate speech, I'm talking about when you start saying 'someone's kind doesn't belong here, and we'll all be happy when they're gone.'"

In the Flint Center, a large concert hall on the campus of Cupertino's DeAnza College.

A few of the executives gave us all a pep talk, a couple engineers demonstrated "Look -shiny!" then every Apple employee was invited to ask any question we damn well pleased. I understand that hilarity ensued when Apple announced domestic partner benefits.

I stood at the microphone then - politely - said "I was at one time an Apple third-party developer."

Four thousand White Badge Employees having a grand old time then quite suddenly and completely out of nowhere you could have heard a pin drop.

I was rather more blunt at MacHack.

Apple had - perhaps still does - an internal chat board that openly invites anonymous criticism. I never once posted anonymously, IIRC I was the only one who ever used his real name. I once brought up he problem of Cognitive Dissonance within isolated social groups [93.174.104.65] - more commonly known as "Groupthink" but with respect to Apple as "The Steve Jobs Reality Distortion Field", then offered to lend my copy of Elliott Aronson's "The Sofial Animal" to anyone who cared to read it.

One derogatory anonymous reply was posted then... crickets chirping.
