Darth Vader is running for President of Ukraine, as the candidate for the Ukrainian Internet Party (UIP). The Sith Lord will apparently be up for election come May 25th.
It's not the first time Vader has entered Ukraine's political sphere.
As well as being seen in Kiev's Independence Square during the protests this winter - Vader also made a bid to become mayor of Odessa late last year, after being carried to the city hall by stormtroopers.
Meanwhile, further reports suggest that as well as his pledge to restore Ukraine to its former glories, his presidential demands also include a plot of land where he can park his spaceship.

Ukrainians have transformed a statue of Soviet founder Vladimir Lenin into one of Darth Vader in the city of Odessa. The absurd but highly-symbolic move comes just before the release of the latest "Star Wars" movie.
The founder of the former communist state, the Soviet Union, has long been despised by many Ukrainians. In April, the government passed a law, ordering all symbols of the Soviet era to be removed from the country.
"After the anti-communism law was adopted earlier this year, we had to decide what to do with the monument [of Lenin]," Oleksandr Milov, the sculptor of the new statue, told the AFP news agency. A 'real life' Vader, one of several in Ukraine, was on hand to check that the new statue was 'fully operational'
"Honestly, I did not like the idea of destroying it, so we decided on a more flexible solution," he said, adding that they were planning to install a Wi-fi router on the statue's head so that he can "communicate with the other Siths."

Given the corrupt and tyrannical nature of Ukraine's previous leadership, Darth Vader may be an improvement. Why worry about voting accidentally for an evil politician when you can vote for a Sith lord, a true evil. I'd like to see Darth Vader in a debate. Instead of calling an opponent a damned liar, he could just Force choke him to death or cut him in half with a swift light saber stroke.
It's really quite a simple choice: Life, Death, or Los Angeles.
