DARPA has launched a program to develop a direct brain interface.
New effort aims for fully implantable devices able to connect with up to one million neurons
Neural interfaces currently approved for human use squeeze a tremendous amount of information through just 100 channels, with each channel aggregating signals from tens of thousands of neurons at a time. The result is noisy and imprecise. In contrast, the NESD program aims to develop systems that can communicate clearly and individually with any of up to one million neurons in a given region of the brain.
A million should be enough for anybody.

Wire the brain with an orgasm button. Well now, nobody will bother seeking human companionship ever again. After enough people get into the trend, human extinction will be inevitable. And that will be a good thing. Because really, have you met people?

You are a despicable human being. If you think that orgasms are the only reasons humans seek companionship, I can only hope that you are gang-raped by persons of your own persuasion, you you realize the errors of your ways.

Fuck you! Fuck you until I , . . . OK, you're right. But I do not want to ever see you again, you scumbag. My reasons for hanging with my babe and my bros is not what you think it is. Human extinction does not become inevitable if lifespan increases and people are still procreating, which they will, even if "orgasm button" is available.
More advances in infertility treatment are on the way, but they won't be needed for long. Artificial wombs will come along and transform childbirth. Two people could exchange DNA digitally, synthesize a fertilized egg to be grown in the artificial womb, and then bang each other with their vasectomized parts. Or never see each other at all.

I think you don't understand how evolution works. It's not about enough people eliminating themselves from the gene pool by not reproducing. Those that don't reproduce don't count in the long run.
It's always about enough people reproducing successfully. Do you think there won't be enough among the 7 billion who would continue to reproduce? The genes of such people who successfully reproduce despite such "threats/environmental changes" will survive. And their children would be more likely to share those traits.
Just because a great orgasm is all you seek doesn't mean that's true for the rest of the 7 billion. There's plenty of reproductive instinct still left in humans- just see how hormones change the reproductive behaviours of humans:
