Robert F. Kennedy Jr, Son of Bobby Kennedy has written this article for politico.eu

http://www.politico.eu/article/why-the-arabs-dont-want-us-in-syria-mideast-conflict-oil-intervention/

He explains the history of the middle east from the 1950's onwards. I was mostly ignorant of this recent history and it has really opened my eyes to the current situation in the middle east. Our relentless pursuit of oil in the region since the 1950's has led to the current crisis in Syria.

What do you fellow Soylentis think about this? Should we feel massive guilt for the actions of our governments or is the price justified in the modern world? Oil runs the world and our civilisation is utterly dependant on it. Have we been doing the right things in the middle east for the last 70 years?

Even if we get cold fusion, and desalinization solves the fresh water crisis, there will be something essential to life in short supply - either by nature or by man's design, not all of man - just the ones in control.

Resource scarcity is an illusion except for time and health.

Scarcity is not just the raw quantity of the material, but how much can you access. It doesn't matter if the Solar System is 25% helium by mass, if you can't get it into a balloon or scientific instrument.

Scarcity is not an illusion when you are on the far side of the wall, cut off by the people controlling the resource.

Scarcity also will not be an illusion when the human population passes the 50 billion mark - we were at 2 billion 80 years ago, 7 billion today, that makes 25 billion by 2100, and really no reason to slow down, unless resource scarcity or forced birth control hits. Yes, demographics point to "rich" countries reducing their population growth, but, ask yourself, if UBI rolls out, how many people do you think will stop at 2 children? My theory on population capping in the "rich" countries is that we're all so damn busy that we don't have time for more kids, take away the "need to work" and what will happen?

I think grandparent means scarcity is artificial. It is. Just because we have lived in the age of consumerism and squandering of resources it does not mean it is the only possible development model. It is only the best one *for those seeking control*, because squandering and polluting means a future of infighting and health dependence from the system.

As for population control, if old people had no way to be without food shelter and basic care, they would only procreate because of love and not to have somebody looking after you. Even when work was not the slavery of today, western nation had solved population control.

I'm sorry, when was work not the slavery of western capitalist society? Yes, there is more minute to minute freedom with the "work" model, as compared to being "owned" and literally told what to do second to second, but with the "free" economy, if you don't have significant (top 5% or higher) wealth accumulated, you've usually got a year or two of "freedom" at most before you are completely dependent on the social safety net, such as it is. It all sounds "fair" on the face of it to others who have worked their whole lives, but real circumstances put far more people dependent on the social safety net than independently wealthy. The argument goes that the "unfortunate" could have made better choices, and many could have, but I still feel that there are more working poor who have made all the best possible choices for their circumstance than there are independently wealthy who have gotten that way by making good choices in life starting from a median wealth position or lower.

The problem with changing the system is the short term pain that those in power make sure will happen before meaningful change occurs - fear of that pain keeps most from opposing the status quo, even if it is severely unfair to them.

Ah, well, my personal experience is in Florida, where even in the 1960s, 70s and 80s, both parents had to work (unless one was in a "top tier / top 5%" job) just to afford a 3 bedroom house in the suburbs plus two cars - which the parents required to get to their jobs. Other places in the US were easier, but Florida's economy is dominated by retirees who (in large part) are not at all generous in paying for the services they use.

It has been "downhill" since the 1970s, but even the peak of the hill saw both my parents working most of my life, and just barely affording to support me while I went through college on partial scholarship.

I have been fortunate enough to find my way into a "top 15%" career, and my wife is not forced to work outside the home, but this just puts us in a "median" suburban home. I could have as easily ended up with less, and of course I could win the lottery any day (well, since I don't play, it's one chance in millions less likely than if I did...)

My first "real job" in 1991 didn't have any explicit "employment at will" wording in the contract - but, when they ran out of money in 2003, it was pretty obvious that we were all going to need to find something else. Since that 2nd job in 2003, all employment contracts I have seen include the "employment at will" language which basically says that either employer or employee may terminate the employment relationship at any moment for any reason or no reason at all. So, that's job security in America - not quite slavery - you're free to leave, and if you've got enough money, you're not forced to find another job.

The whole idea of "keep your job or you and your family will be evicted from your home" is a particularly twisted aspect of "the American Dream," where anyone can obtain a home mortgage. I always thought that word was very transparently "a measurement of death."

That's not accurate. Oil was "mined out" of Pennslyvania, Oklahoma, and Texas before we started on the mid-East oil. Our acquisition of the mid-east oil is largely post-WWII. This doesn't make it right, but it makes your statement wrong.

Now "acquiring" oil from the middle east by corruption, propping up dictators, etc. isn't justifiable. But we *did* largely act thorough local powers rather than as an invading force. And, as someone else said, we did buy it. But at prices set by governments that we maintained in power. Even OPEC is relatively recent.

The question of "what were the alternatives" isn't usually seriously considered. If you do you find lots more coal being burned. LOTS. That wouldn't be good, and the "oil" prices would have been higher, but it would probably have been less evil. And solar and wind power might have gotten started earlier.

No, it really wasn't. Until the recentish price drop by OPEC, Oklahoma was raking in massive tax revenue from the oil produced within its borders. Now it's having to fire teachers because those wells are too expensive to produce from and have been simply shut off. It's not that the middle east has so much more oil than us, it's that they can produce it so cheaply.

Let me tell you about me. My family came to what would become the USA about 20 years or so ahead of the Mayflower. We were in the revolutionary war and fought in every war since that time. During that time, many other ethnicities came to the USA and blended into my family line, until Christian, Jew, Arab whatever, no longer held any meaning whatsoever.

Yet the maternal line of my family was front and center to the horror of WW2. Not as Jews, but as Nazi.
I am here because one day a Nazi soldier was shot by Allied forces. A Jew who was this soldier's prisoner ripped his own shirt off and quickly made a tourniquet, thereby sparing my mother's father from bleeding to death. He did this without a second thought and despite the freezing cold.

My grandfather surrendered, was sent to hospital and stayed as an allied POW until the end of WW2 where he eventually married an American nurse.

Conspiracy theories are nothing more than lies.
There is no "ethnic group" on the face of that planet that has some master plan, or controls the banks or the media or the government.

These lies are told as a way of re-enforcing personal biases. A way to revert to "us vs them" mentalities which serve no valid purpose anymore. It is a way to make you feel like you are a victim. Like the failings in your life are somehow not your own fault.

When you do this, you deny yourself and your true nature. You lock yourself in chains in a darkened room with no windows, hoping that someone else will come free you. But here's the secret. Only you have the power to unlock your chains. No one else can do this for you and no one else is willing to sit beside you in their own chains just because you are too ignorant to look into the mirror and see that the jailer who keeps you bound, is the face staring back at you in the mirror.

Not sure you can see what they were claiming, but the reason I choose to respond the way I did is that he's making claims unsupported by facts.
                Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.

                Now a couple of things.
I don't believe that any "good guy" has ever won a war, neither has any "bad guy".
                This is for 2 reasons.
#1 There are no good guys. There are just "people" who have done "things" some of them perceived as "good" and some perceived as "bad". However it's entirely in the eye of the beholder. Often there are things considered good at the time are viewed through the eyes of history as bad and things considered horrible at the time are perceived as good. In otherwords, there is no universal morality. Just cultural norms. Those who follow the norms are good and those who don't are bad. Very simple.

#2 The only winner in a war is the man selling the bullets. That one is self obvious. War, violence, strife and discord benefit no one. You cannot ever "win" a war, all you can do is end it.

As for your videos, you need to check the sources and consider the messages. On a 15 minute video he spends the first 2 minutes replaying a clip from a TV show which is fictional but entertaining. The man sounds a lot like Donald Trump, maybe he can make america great again too.

Next your video author puts up some very ominous black and white text "Within the City of London there is one mile square are called "The City"
Ok so this is factually accurate. London started out as a roman fort and was 1 square mile when originally incorporated. The rest of what we call London are districts and burroughs that grew up around it. Anyone can live there. New York is the same way. New York "city" proper is smaller but was founded about 1,000 years later.
The population of the city of London is 7,375 which makes it about average density for 1sq mile. It's essentially the Wall Street of the UK.

                Now for the next part...
"This is the headquarters of the Rothschilds a Jewish family dynasty, and their Jewish Cabal, a group that owns the money supply through the Central Banks of almost every nation on earth."

First problem with this. Ask yourself, is there any language here that is intended to be inflammatory and prey on your pre-existing prejudices?
The easiest way is to check when you are unsure is to play "swap ethnic sterotypes" and see if the message stays the same.

"This is the headquarters of the Corleones an Italian family dynasty, and their Italian Mafia, a group that owns the drug supply through the smuggling routes of almost every nation on earth."

Check! But let's try now without any ethnic stereotypes at all and see if the message is anywhere near as ominous.
"This is the headquarters of the Rothschilds, a family dynasty that owns the money supply through the Central Banks of almost every nation on earth."

Alright, so now we've gotten past the ethnic stereotype. Let's just fact check a couple of items before we proceed.

Fact check time. Who are the Rothschilds and are they Jewish?
                https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rothschild_family#Jewish_identity_and_positions_on_Zionism [wikipedia.org]
It appears that in the 19th century they were a wealthy and powerful family. The family got it's start by being bankers.
Originally the family is Jewish yes, currently though it looks like a mixed bag.
David Renee appears to be actively Jewish and a prominent member of the family...
                https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/David_Ren%C3%A9_de_Rothschild [wikipedia.org]

But I refer you back to the wikipedia link and ask you to notice that many of the most powerful members of the family opposed the Zionism efforts, or even helping out other Jews during WW2.
"Lord Victor Rothschild was against granting asylum or to help Jewish refugees during the Holocaust."

Now you can say something like "Well those Jews, dang them all to heck, they wouldn't help eachother etc.." But the minute you say that your entire "Jewish" conspiracy begins to fail. At that point, what you really mean is there is/was a conspiracy and some, perhaps all of the people involved were Jewish.

Now you need to ask "was there a Jewish conspiracy"?
                http://rationalwiki.org/wiki/Rothschild_family [rationalwiki.org]
                Kinda doubtful...

Ok so Central Banking was this an invention of Jews, or even the Rothschilds?

Survey says No! No it wasn't. In the USA, The Federal Reserve was created by noted anti-semite JP Morgan and his equally Jew hating buddy John J Rockafeller.

                https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_D._Rockefeller [wikipedia.org]

FYI your video is 3 minutes in which is 1/5th of the way and it still hasn't provided a single source let alone a reliable one.
I've now completely destroyed the basis for this mans argument unless you're planning to argue that the US Federal Reserve system is currently under Jewish control.

So who controls the Federal Reserve right now?

Janet Yellen was born Jewish https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Janet_Yellen [wikipedia.org] but there is no link to her and the Rothschilds, also we already established that being Jewish does not prima facie make you part of a Cabal.
The other members of the board of governors...
Stanley Fisher https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stanley_Fischer [wikipedia.org] not only a Jew but surprisingly a dual Israeli and US Citizen. Sounds scary, but wait there's more...
"American President Barack Obama nominated Fischer as vice chair of the Federal Reserve System, the United States' central bank, in January 2014.In nominating Fischer for the position, Obama stated he brought "decades of leadership and expertise from various roles, including serving at the International Monetary Fund and the Bank of Israel"

Imagine that! Barrack Hussein Obama who is later called out as being part of this NWO "Jewish conspiracy" despite most conspiracy theorists belief that he is a muslim, appointed this man because he ran the IMF. Wow a central banker who might have experience in directing a central bank.
There appears to be no Rothschild link here though, so I dunno.

Ok so let's see who the other fellow conspirators are...
This fella appears to be Catholic https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Daniel_Tarullo [wikipedia.org]
This guy appears to be Mormon https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jerome_H._Powell [wikipedia.org]
This gal appears to be Protestant https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lael_Brainard [wikipedia.org]

So we have 2 Jews a Catholic, a Mormon and a Protestant in charge at the Federal reserve. Maybe it's a conspiracy, but honestly, that does not sound like a Jewish conspiracy.

But who actually OWNs the federal reserve. Whom do they serve?
Wikipedia is failing to mention anything about Rothschilds or Jews.
The best I can get is this...
"There are 12 Federal Reserve Banks and they are located in Boston, New York, Philadelphia, Cleveland, Richmond, Atlanta, Chicago, St. Louis, Minneapolis, Kansas City, Dallas, and San Francisco. Each reserve Bank is responsible for member banks located in its district. The size of each district was set based upon the population distribution of the United States when the Federal Reserve Act was passed. Each regional Bank has a president, who is the chief executive officer of their Bank. Each regional Reserve Bank's president is nominated by their Bank's board of directors, but the nomination is contingent upon approval by the Board of Governors. Presidents serve five-year terms and may be reappointed."

Ok so there are 12 banks that "own" the federal reserve.
                What are these 12 banks?
A member bank is a private institution and owns stock in its regional Federal Reserve Bank. All nationally chartered banks hold stock in one of the Federal Reserve Banks. State chartered banks may choose to be members (and hold stock in their regional Federal Reserve bank), upon meeting certain standards.

Alright so all banks everywhere are wholly owned by the Rothschilds??? Is that the assertion this guy is making?
I know that can't be true because my 401k has stock in JP Morgan Chase & Wells Fargo and actually come to think of it I have stock in just about every bank with branches in States I've lived in.

I'm not related to the Rothschilds in fact closest my family has ever come to them is decendency through the Hapsburgs. You should check your retirement plan, make sure to divest yourself of ANY banking interests just to be certain. We can't let those dirty people have at our money. Close your bank accounts, convert all of your dollars immediately to gold and silver, it's the only way to be sure you'll still be able to buy apple pie at the super market when this whole mess collapses and the zombies attack. Not sure what you'll do in the meantime though, because I have yet to find a grocery store that will take either gold or silver and eating metal is hard on the teeth.

But isn't that the basis of his claim? "owns the money supply through the Central Banks of almost every nation on earth."

Well the central bank of the USA is actually owned by Wall Street. Do the Rothschilds own Wall Street?
Investopedia says that they're publicly held which means likely I own them too.
                http://www.investopedia.com/financial-edge/0311/who-owns-the-stock-exchanges.aspx [investopedia.com]

So the very first 2 minutes of your very first source are patently false. An unsubstantiated lie to manipulate you into believing what comes next, confirming your own personal biases. Biases which I have just demonstrated to be factually incorrect.

2:35 a quote by Woodrow Wilson which he did in fact write. And a great description of the current state of affairs wherein the bulk of wealth is concentrated in a few corporate interests and these interests are very much subject to regulatory capture. However you'll note the distinct lack of Jews in the quote. In fact he was complaining about capitalism in general.

Next is 2:50 a quote from a film by Aaron Russo a man best known for his success as a film maker, i.e. entertainment industry pundit and also a Jew. But listen carefully to what he has to say. "Not just the Federal Reserve system, but the private banks in Germany, England, Italy, all over the world, they all worked together. They're all central banks."
Ok first off, no they really don't work together except ostensibly through the IMF. They are at cross purposes most of the time.

Secondly they can't be both private and central. That would be a contradiction in terms. Also again factually incorrect.

That would be the same as having a publicly traded corporation that is privately held. You can't really have it both ways. Also this video is old and predates the ECB.

"And they're all part of the communist manifesto".

                Umm the what?
                https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Communist_Manifesto [wikipedia.org]

That thing predates the central banking system by nearly 75 years.

Oh ok. He means they agree to it in principle. So now we're saying that anything associated with communism is bad. Therefore anything that opposes communism should be good? Jews opposed communism, but they took the communist manifesto to heart for some reason and somehow managed to seize control of all central banks worldwide, in secret while at the same time paying me dividends in my 401k for the shares I own? Wow that's it, right?

"We have a central bank that plans everything for us." Umm wrong. Central planning is about resource distribution, not money. Where is rice and wheat grown, how to distribute it fairly and equally, etc. In capitalism, "capital" is the resource. Resources move from where they are inefficiently used to where they are efficiently used. This means that rich people tend to get richer because efficiency is a function of economies of scale, not fairness to your fellow man.

If you want fair, as in everyone gets their fair share in everything, you are a communist, you just haven't learned the right word for it.

3:30s of my life has been wasted on watching this video, not a single valid or supported point was made except at the first minute or so and that was a work of fiction which BTW had no support. But I'll continue here...

"Graduated income tax is another plan of the communists", are you serious? OMG where?
                https://www.marxists.org/archive/marx/works/download/pdf/Manifesto.pdf [marxists.org] (pages 26 & 27)

"Of course, in the beginning, this cannot be effected except by means of despotic inroads on the
rights of property, and on the conditions of bourgeois production; by means of measures,
therefore, which appear economically insufficient and untenable, but which, in the course of the
movement, outstrip themselves, necessitate further inroads upon the old social order, and are
unavoidable as a means of entirely revolutionising the mode of production.
These measures will, of course, be different in different countries.
Nevertheless, in most advanced countries, the following will be pretty generally applicable. " (a list of several items follow progressive income tax is one of them).

So you're telling me that these people are like super elite, they own all the money, all the methods of production and all the resources and now they want to implement a plan to remove all class distinctions and turn the means of production over to the state. The state will perform central planning tasks, eliminate class disparity and ensure everyone gathers around the campfire to sing Kumbaya each night? WTH? Doesn't that seem just a bit umm I dunno, internally inconsistent maybe?

Wouldn't a MUCH, MUCH better plan be to implement capitalism globally? This way the rich continue to increase their wealth relative to the poor?
I'm sorry, but I fail to see much of an impetus for them to do this and the only support thus far is "some guy said so, but he didn't bother with citations cuz it's like common knowledge yo.".

Ahh and here is the point of the video FINALLY!

"The ultimate goal that these people have is to create a one world government."
So who are "these people". A picture of Barak Obama and his cabinet are shown. Sorry but Barak Obama's ancestors were snuggling up to their goats and burning dung to keep warm at night, back when this document was published.

"Now they've taken over our government and Republicans and Democrats there's no difference anymore". Ok I'll bite, I believe this because it confirms my own personal biases and observations. It's still not cited anywhere and I was able to solve the problem for me personally by selecting a different country and moving to it.

"They control both parties..." Who in the hell is they? Russo, the speaker, was Jewish https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aaron_Russo [wikipedia.org] so I don't think he meant the Jews in general. Perhaps he did but then wouldn't that make him part of this conspiracy? And if so why are we listening to him. Is he some sort of whistle blower?

So this whole thing is just a special brand of crazy.
It gets better. 4:56 there is the claim that stripping power from the Jews allowed Adolph Hitler's Germany to become an economic powerhouse.
Sure confiscate the assets of 10% of the population and give it to the state and this will tend to happen for awhile. Except that's socialism and that's part of the Jewish conspiracy. So the super elite Jews conspired against themselves to get themselves almost annihilated in order to establish a government that would not recognize the class differences or the sovereign rights of the individual? They did this despite the fact that they were already in power a priori, in order to establish and maintain control. Umm huh?

How are these beliefs, internally inconsistent and completely in contradiction to, not only established fact, but also one another, not ringing your skull like a bell?

Of course the economy flourished under National Socialism. Germany broke every agreement it made post World War 1 and built an army of epic proportions. Suddenly everyone who had no job was either working or being gassed alive. This investment in their war machine paid off because it gave jobs and hope to people who lived it. This was true until it was found to be economically unstustainable and the only way to fix the problem was to grow the national borders.

I know, my Grandfather was there, he served in that military and he told me all about it. Nationalism will do that and the easiest way to spur nationalism is turn up the hate. Just ask Donald Trump.

Find a scapegoat real or not, blame your problems on them and then you feel better and can get to the business of fixing what is wrong in your world. But that doesn't mean it's right. It also means you aren't being honest with yourself or others.

But this guy is seriously upholding Nazism and Hilter as examples of all the good that can come from NATIONAL SOCIALISM; While maintaining the Jews are in a conspiracy to bring the same thing to the rest of the world.

We have a word for this, it's called Schizophrenia. There are effective treatments. I urge you to seek them out.

And this is a forum posting on Soylent news not my own personal blog, so I'm going to assume that you put your best foot forward and leave it at that.

Next time please don't make me wade through the sewers to try and uncover your point. Youtube videos are not credible evidence and I have yet to see a single shred of evidence that any group has been able to maintain a conspiracy of any kind beyond 1 or 2 people for about 4 or 5 years. People feel guilty, they talk, word spreads.
Conspiracies require secrets, the only way 2 people can keep a secret is if one of them is dead. A single person is not a conspiracy. Ergo there are no conspiracies you are aware of that effect you, so there is no need to invent them, even if other people on the internet agree with you.

                  Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.

But the extraordinary holocaust claim requires no evidence. Is that correct?

There are no good guys. There are just "people" who have done "things" some of them perceived as "good" and some perceived as "bad".

So, starving a population for "revenge" is "just another thing"? How nice of you to white-wash your criminal history and all the crimes your forefathers committed. Remember this: Nothing is ever forgotten!

And then you go on to defend Rothschilds:

The Rothschilds have a history which is documented. The Rothschilds control most of the world's central banks. They own the Federal Reserve bank which has the right to print money. They print this money and lend it to the government at interest. Doesn't that bother you? Its your hard work, your labour that is being diluted and given to these bankers. It is one reason why you do not make enough any more. No matter how hard you work, your quality of life is dropping. Your children's lives will be much harder. Its already happening. Grown-up children are living with their parents because they can't afford the rent. The previously enough salary is not enough any more. Its going into the pockets of the bankers. They are the Jews.

Do something now before its too late.

And the things you refer to as conspiracies are not conspiracies. They are facts and they exist right now. You are the one who is brainwashed into "liking" and "defending" Jews. Shame on you.

And you never mention what the "conspiracy theorists" have to gain from these "conspiracy theories". All you do is call them nuts. They work hard to bring you the truth and all you do is shove it aside. Are you a propagandist for the government? Ask yourself what do I have to gain from writing this comment? Do I have a hidden agenda? If yes, then what is it? From my point of view, you are already lost. But others who aren't like you can probably be saved. Don't stop them from searching for the truth. Lots of Jews in banking in Christian nations, historically, because they were allowed by their religion to charge interest to non-Jews. I've also heard that there were often laws blocking them from some other professions or land ownership, but I haven't done a check of old European legal codes. Though Christians did eventually find a loop-hole to that whole usury thing.

Well at least you owned your comment there, I'm tempted to upmod you because you're the first person I've ever seen post these sorts of things while not hiding behind an AC mask. So kudos to you for having the courage to come forth with that, good on you for owning your opinion whether I disagree with that opinion or not. By doing so you disproved my initial premise; People will only post these sorts of things anonymously. Either as a troll or as a way of trying to say a thing without "owning" it.

Nevertheless you failed to cite anything at all, let alone anything substantive.
This means what you are calling fact is nothing more than opinion and there is a fundamental difference between a fact and an opinion. A fact exists only when it can be substantiated with strong evidence. Otherwise it is nothing more than an opinion, regardless of how many like minded people share that opinion.

            So here is my opinion.
Ascribing any behavior to an entire group is narrow minded.
It's choosing to be ignorant of the truth, playing a "blame game" that does nothing for anyone.

I'm not going to go on a tirade here and post examples of Jews that have done good things, just like I wouldn't do it for blacks, whites, mormons, muslims. It's pointless. For every example I could point to of a "good one" in any group, I'm certain you can find an example of a "bad one" in that same group.

The only universal truth that I have been able to uncover is that there are no universal truths.
No bad people, no good people. Because there is no good or bad.

Everything we call good and bad is just subjective opinion.
Personal judgement on the value of actions by individuals, which is then used to pass judgement over the group as a whole.

Yet despite the fact that it may have repercussions that echo for eternity, once an action has been done, it is a thing of the past.
Even a person who has done nothing but horrors from the day they were born can flip in an instant and do good things.
A person can also spend their whole lives doing good and still do bad things in the blink of an eye.

Priest is almost a synonym for pedophile in the public consciousness nowdays yet it doesn't mean they are.

It doesn't even mean a significant portion of them are. It just means people choose ignorance willingly because they are herdwired to do so.
It's ok to do this, we're free to choose our own path for our own reasons. But this doesn't mean that this ignorance is a reflection of true facts.
It just means you are letting someone else do your thinking for you.

Now I do agree with you on the final statement. In many situations the actors are Jews. In many situations they are Christian, in many situations they are Muslim, Hindu etc. But yes in many situations there are Jews involved the mischief making as well.

So the real take away, is that people who clamor the loudest about adhering to a faith are the least likely to truly believe in it's core tenets. Choosing instead to use religion as a tool. Perhaps calling out one or two obscure points in scripture that they believe supports their opinion while ignoring some key facts.
All scriptures are fictional mythologies created by man for control of man in the name of a God. Each of them is as equally as fictitious as any other.

Almost humorously there probably is a God, who despite all of the people pretending to speak in his/her/their name managed to insert a single tenet into every religion everywhere at all times and all places upon the face of the earth. I say that this is the hand of God, because the core tenet of every religion is the same. If it's not God who did that, then frankly I have no other explanation for it, but to my mind it is miraculous. That key tenet is simply "Love each other".

As soon as you stop doing that, you are no longer obeying "God" whatever your religion may be, and judging a person based on their ethnic group is hardly showing "love".

Where do you see Muslims (as a group) committing heinous acts on nations?
              ...
              and so on.

Those that do commit heinous acts are acting on their own behalf, and they are criminals. Plain and simple.

But Jews commit crimes systematically, as a group. They support each other when one of them gets caught red-handed committing a crime.

judging a person based on their ethnic group is hardly showing "love".

But when a race (ethnic group/whatever) develops a reputation over centuries of being parasites, swindlers, masters of the art of lie, you need to be careful who you fall in love with.

you seem to take things seriously, and I am not in mood for trolling, so here is a thought: you seem to fall for the same fallacy that "social scientist" type of people do: they talk about there being more than one truth and things are not black and white, and yet, of all the "professions" that demand thinking, they are the least least and last to deliver.

in the end, it is about working with statistics and the sciences that deal with statistics.
understanding the phenomena of "there being something gray" is not easy, and certainly not a topic for internet forums...
it is the topic of books with 500+ pages.

i simply talk about averages and trajectories and dominant patterns arising from actions of one or many... and also about those who live in the shadow, or wake or whatever, of the above mentioned phenomena.

at the heights of the thinking mind, there is no need for citation; it is enough that you have understood what i have said.
if you understand what i have said, than the your model of how the world works admits my statements as the "a" truth, whether you like it or not.

if you are a jew, you do not have to shoulder all the "sins" of the "jews"...
but understand, that on some places of the world, there are plebs who survive, because they can spawn cold, calculating, and brutal "nazis".
in the same way that the "jews", on a grand average, benefit from the wit and organisational skills of a subset of them, there are others that survive on the actions of the nazis.

the temporal culture of scaring people by calling them nazis, and the shitty PR war against "antisemitic" people will not last long.
the people of europe survive by the existence of certain types of structures, and these structures will come again.

in other words Hitler will be back in some form, and the jews of europe will be deprived of their banks, their art and their richness, and will be purged again.

i am not saying that the plebs that live in the shadow (or wake) of such a power are honorable and desirable...
neither do i say that with my level of knowledge i will happily participate in genocide for the advantage of these plebs...

i am just saying that history will repeat itself, and i start to see why...

I, like you, find the anti-Jewish rhetoric to be tripe. That being said...

In several posts, you seem to be pushing the "stop being anonymous" angle pretty hard.

          I think that's a mistake; a deep, terrible mistake.

Anonymity is a shield from the tyranny of the majority. It's why, for example, voting is anonymous.

Imagine, if you will, that we lived in a country where anonymous speech was outlawed. Or, at the very least, so deeply frowned upon by the majority, that anyone who spoke anonymously was immediately ignored.

That doesn't lead anywhere good. Anonymous speech is fundamentally important in a free country and democracy.

What if our government was an evil theocratic dictatorship? If people spoke up non-anonymously, they'd be killed. If they spoke up anonymously, they'd be ignored.

I think the whole "man up and stop being anonymous" thing you're pushing so hard is really a tragically bad idea. I suggest you think about what I've said and consider addressing the content of the AC posts that bother you, rather than the fact that the posts themselves are anonymous.

Government sets terms for business and business sets terms for government. It's quid pro quo and for all the people who whine about it, but can't be arsed to get up and go vote let alone run for office, it seems to be working as designed.

The American imperial war machine is the tool businesses use to take down threats to their interests. It's been that way for over 100 years now and for whatever reason it is working. The US Dollar is the world's reserve currency, the entire world basically gave up their economic sovereignty in order to benefit from the efforts of the USA to spread it's particular brand of "freedom" around the world. Unfortunately the only freedom the USA maintains anymore is freedom for the monied elite to do as they will without consequences.

Have we been doing the right things in the middle east for the last 70 years?

No. We should have nuked all of these peoples. The saudis. The syrians. The iraqis. The iranians. The israelites.

These people and their dark-ages religions have been nothing but trouble for the developed, civilized world. The africans have been allowed to live because they keep their violence to themselves. The middle east, however, always projects its internal strife across the globe. For that, they must be destroyed.
