BBC reports "German Greens float sex prescriptions for disabled":

A spokeswoman for the Green Party in Germany has said disabled and seriously ill people should be able to claim back public money if they pay for sex. They would have to prove a medical need and show that they could not pay to visit sex workers otherwise. Elisabeth Scharfenberg, an MP, told the Welt am Sonntag newspaper that she "could imagine" local authorities paying for "sexual assistance". Prostitution has been legal in Germany since 2002.

[...] In the Netherlands it is already possible to claim the cost of sexual services as a medical expense.

It is probably more about choice - they don't want women empowered, and payment suggests power and choice.
If there isn't force, or a power imbalance, there isn't the same titillation.

Since all this is about Europe, maybe the taxpayer part is just the paid sales tax, not income tax.

In general I feel that federal taxes should be reserved to military (needs downsizing), temporary safety nets (really depends), and paying for good negotiators to keep us out of wars. I am probably missing a few things. At the state level there are a few more things, statewide roads and transportation, a few more safety nets maybe. At the city/county level the governmet can pay for anything the people vote for.

Further from the individual the level of government is, the less power they should have over the individuals daily life.

The social contract we exist in was invalid when they closed the frontier and there is no place for those who choose no society to escape. Parts of alaska, siberia, africa might be okay, but far from the frontier of old. Because of this less should be forced upon the individual.

At no point in my view on life do I see taxes going for people to get laid, thats just insane. I suppose paying the migrants in germany to visite prostitutes might lower the instinces of rape, but still absolutely billshit. Maybe we need the government to fund some camp followers in Seattle, Portland, and SF to keep the transients from causing problems.

We need a basic income so we can pay the lumpenprolitariate their tribute to leave the rest of those who want to contribute alone. I am including artists as people who want to contribute here. Of course those do not work and live off of basic only probably shouldn't be able to vote either. But then of course the game becomes reducing the number of those working to get more power at the ballot box.

This article really pissed me off. This bs "money grows on trees, taxes can fund anything" attitude.

if the government was paying for other people to have sex.

Isn't that basically every welfare benefit for little kids?

I mean sure, its not the kids fault and spending money on the kids trying to fix them is both the right thing to do and cheaper than fixing them when they're older, but fundamentally you're having the government coordinate one demographic group paying another demographic group to fuck and have the kids the first group can't afford because of high taxes. Which works pretty well until the first group is wiped out or refuses to pay. Then things get tense.

Also the government gravy train attracts some fat and ugly cat ladies in general, so people are thinking it'll be $500/night pr0n star look alike hotties but being a government program the .gov will be charged a mere $1250/hr and the lady is going to literally be former postal service desk clerks, DMV clerks, etc. I mean sure technically there will be a hole there, somewhere, in that 600 pounds of 60 year old government employee cat lady. Also being .gov they'll be unfireable even if they kick you in the balls (or even if you want that and they won't, whatever, the point is customer service is likely to be lacking). My guess would be something lost in translation implying something like arms blown off in the military or industrial accident. That would be a pretty good excuse.

I could see it being incredibly motivational for physical therapy. I hurt my back like a decade ago and had to do this and that, which was about as exciting as watching paint dry, although it did work, but I'm sure there's some way it could have been spiced up a bit. Now that I think about it, writing a book or blog or video shoot on the topic of curing your bad back via lots and lots of specific position sex is the kind of thing that might sell pretty well, maybe a million dollar idea...

There are some muscle/joint problems that can be treated via massage and there are obvious uncreative yet very motivational ways to encourage attending all sessions, show up on time for the appointment and they'll be time at the end for optional happiness, or don't show up on time and go home not so happy.

There are mental issues and half the population being female and Germany being overrun and getting raped to death, there are more young women every day trying to work thru PTSD and phobias so somewhere rather late in the process is probably some sort of re familiarization WRT it being kinda fun when there isn't a knife being held to the throat. And it is a problem for young boys too. As long as they don't hurt the feelings of the invaders I guess it'll be OK to psychologically treat the victims. Germans are pretty screwed up people to intentionally do stuff like that to their own kids, knowing whats inevitable result of an invasion (mass rapes). But, theres money to be made off the recovery process, so...

In the "present but not really participating" department I would imagine couples where both are in wheelchairs or the one who isn't in a wheelchair is a bit frail or uncreative requiring some specialized physical trainer assistance just to ensure nobody falls on the floor or whatever. A professional in the field would likely have considerable experience with what goes where in what positions still remain possible. That is a job that probably takes some time to get used to. If you had legs they'd go there, but I watched an episode of mythbusters last night and I think we'll be OK with this pulley over there and RC car servo here and you can ignore the TNT thats just a prop because the mythbusters always blow shit up every episode and here's a pix of Kari for motivation and I see the lucky lady is already strapped to the trampoline now let me get the V8 engine started so we can get this show on the road....

As I understand it when I read it (both the BBC and the Welt) is that what is suggested in some form of tax deductible. So you'll have to keep up with your prostitutes on your own for a year before you can deduct their services on your next tax form. I'm sure there might be a limit of how much and how often etc. I'm sure some group of people over at the BZSt (the federal central tax office) will have a jolly good time as they investigate and probe the issue for a few years. I guess the prostitutes will have to start offering receipt then for services rendered so you can later deduct them on your tax form. One does wonder how graphic and detailed that would have to be. The tax people should be happy about that - both the sex and the paper work.

One do wonder how one would qualify for this "sexual assistance". Is a doctors note going to be enough? Then I suspect they'll be handing these out like they hand out those medical marijuana cards. Oh you feel a bit bad (or some other vague and general symptom)? Here have card. A good BJ and some anal will cure all that ails you.
