A Wisconsin company is about to become the first in the U.S. to offer microchip implants to its employees.

Yes, you read that right. Microchip implants.

"It's the next thing that's inevitably going to happen, and we want to be a part of it," Three Square Market Chief Executive Officer Todd Westby said.

The company designs software for break room markets that are commonly found in office complexes.

Just as people are able to purchase items at the market using phones, Westby wants to do the sam[sic] thing using a microchip implanted inside a person's hand.

"We'll come up, scan the item," he explained, while showing how the process will work at an actual break room market kiosk. "We'll hit pay with a credit card, and it's asking to swipe my proximity payment now. I'll hold my hand up, just like my cell phone, and it'll pay for my product."

If the company was really cool they would do it by tattooing the sum of the squares of the first seven primes (2² + 3² + 5² + 7² + 11² + 13² + 17²) over the employees' left ear.

The microchip presumably provides unique identification, 1^6 - 2^6 + 3^6 is all too common a sum, can't use that to tell the minions apart.

Besides, the phrase is "give the Devil his due" not "send the Devil the bill."

Also, my understanding of the whole "number of the beast" thing is that there is an 18 digit number (three sets of six numbers) that is the name of the beast and when that number is "activated" (spoken, written, printed in the New York Times, not sure, really... ) that the beast will be called forth and do all those beastly things that keep the parishioners inspired.

For fuck's sake...no, 666 is gematria (number/letter cyphering) for, more or less, "Neron Qaisar" or Caesar Nero. The other symbolism is very clearly referring to the Capitoline Hills and the series of short-lived, embarrassing emperors. Revelation is mostly a coded anti-Roman rant.

        > 666 is gematria (number/letter cyphering) for, more or less, "Neron Qaisar"

qaisar, an arabic term, the interpretation looks forced to me, in a book that is more oriented to greek and, when speaking of romans, latin.

        > more or less
        meaning?

        > very clearly referring to the Capitoline Hills

        https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_cities_claimed_to_be_built_on_seven_hills [wikipedia.org]

among the shitload of places, most notable are Jerusalem, Mecca, Moscow.

BTW "At the end of the year 666 of "Julian time", there was the beginning of the year 622 A.D., which was the year when the founder of the Islam, Mohammed, settled from Mekka to Medina, and this is the year "one" of the Islamic calendar, so calculating the Islamic year (Yi) from the "Julian" year (Yj) is: Yi = Yj - 666"

Leaving numerology, the most explicit anti christian stuff is in the Koran and obviously in the Talmud.

Also, the events narrated or symbolized in the apocalypse are simply too apocalyptic for a book meant to attack nero.
Also, attacking the enemy does not make much sense in the context of early christianity, everybody was the enemy.
Also, the peculiar warning "to everyone who hears the words of prophecy in this book: If anyone adds to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book. And if anyone takes away from the words of this book of prophecy, God will take away his share in the tree of life and in the holy city..." points at something different than a political tirade. Maybe encoded knowledge, who knows.

What seems clear to me is that this is far from clear.

You...*do* know that the correct pronunciation of "Caesar" is "Kaiser/Qaisar" don't you? And that Arabic, Aramaic, and Hebrew are Semitic languages with common roots? As an example, "Satan" (Hebrew) and "Shaitan" (Arabic) are equivalent, the root being {S[h]'t'n} or "adversary, one who opposes," hence Yeshua telling Cephas "get thee behind me, Satan."

There is most certainly "encoded knowledge" in the book, as the phrase right before the infamous number is "let him who hath wisdom (this being closer to "esoteric knowledge") reckon (i.e., "sum up" or "cypher") the Number of the Beast, for IT IS THE NUMBER OF A MAN (this is the important part) and the number is six-hundred-threescore-and-six."

Some variants have it at 616, not 666. Since the value of nun (Hebrew) or nu (Greek) is 50, you get "Nero Qaisar" rather than "Neron Qaisar" from 616.

Yes I am familiar with the pronunciation. Still the audience was Greek/Latin, so I am not convinced.

The reasons for the Satan epithet has itself other interpretations than simply assuming it means adversary, especially in hindsight when the denial of the sacrifice on the cross is considered THE discriminant factor for followers (1 John 2:22).

Look, if we're going to get into the tenets of Christianity itself, you've already lost.

In plain English, Yahweh sacrificed his son, who is also himself, TO himself, to STOP himself from throwing his own voluntarily-formed creations into the Hell he also didn't need to create and never mentioned to them (no, he let the Persians and Greeks do that...) for the sins (read: his own negative aesthetic judgments, since DCT is empty) he knew they would commit before he created them.

This. Is. Insanity. What you have here is a cross between Kim Kong-Il and Donald Trump times infinity. He's literally Infinite Hitler, no Godwin because the comparison is entirely valid, with his inescapable eternal concentration camp full of fear and fire and pain and torture and misery for what amount to his political prisoners.

The entirety of the Abrahamic corpus is somewhere between delusional and outright psychopathic-sadistic. No God would act this way. Only a demon would, which is why I am certain Yahweh either doesn't exist or is an evil spirit.

Yeah. At a former job, all employees were 'offered' a wellness program that would give $XX off your health insurance each month, at the cost of waiving all privacy rights re healthcare information. Being fat, I didn't agree. 6 months after implementation, I see my paycheck dinged -$XXX each month for 'non-compliance', and my employee reviews went from 4/5 to 2/5 for 'a lack of cooperation'. When I objected, I was told straight out that not participating meant I was not a 'team player' and there's really nothing to worry about.
I will not work for a company that requires access to my medical history (which, BTW, makes your medical history essentially public and sellable - no matter what protections may be written in law, an 'aggregrate or anonymized history' can be sold, and both are trivial to reconnect to the person) Nor do I want to work for a company that uses RF tracking badges or phones. Forcibly getting chipped? When exactly will violence *be* considered the answer?
