The Brown Institute for Brain Science in Rhode Island is getting a $100 million donation, and a name change:
A Brown alum has donated $100 million to advance brain science and help find cures for ALS and Alzheimer's diseases.
The gift is from Robert J. Carney and his wife, Nancy D. Carney. He is a 1961 Brown graduate and a long-serving university trustee. The gift will change the name of the Brown Institute for Brain Science to the Robert J. and Nancy D. Carney Institute for Brain Science.

Nothing wrong with neuroscience research, but I'm giving my hundred million to space exploration. Maybe I'll give my other million to Children's hospital neuro department.

I'd donate my millions toward eugenics. Just as Bravestarr had the eyes of the hawk, ears of the wolf, strength of the bear, speed of the puma; my human superman will have the looks of the White, brain of the Asian, fertility of the Latino, and strength of the Black (the "fertility of the Latino" part will probably be the most difficult part to work into the theme-song).

Can't you get all of that just by encouraging interracial marriage? Oh - wait - genetic pollution, or some such shit, right?

BTW - you didn't mention the Jew's Green Thumbâ„¢. Do you want your superhumans to grow up poor? You're slipping, Eth.

Introducing Jew into the mix would be more nose than riches. The Asian part will already handle the duties of the human calculator.

Can we go back to the tacitly understood convention that we do not name things after people, even if they give us shit tons of money, until they are dead? Does human Vanity know no bounds? What is next? Trump is going to donate his billions to CUNY, if they change their name to "Trump University"? There are still some things money cannot buy, even if these things are not Donald, Facebook, or Stormy.

The sports world is even worse. San Diego had it's Jack Murphy stadium named after the man who raised the money for it. Then it became Qualcomm stadium because some rich Jew threw some money at it. Then you have Mattress Firm (formerly known as Sleep Train) Amphitheater, named after a mattress dealer and where loud bands like Metallica and Nine Inch Nails play. Then Staples center where the Lakers, Clippers, and Kings play. All that just in Southern California.
Come to think of it, naming things after people is pretty dignified compared to, say, The Pfizer Endowment for Accidental Priapism Research.

In Sacramento. A fucking credit union blowing its wad on regional advertising. Needless to say my family have been moving money away from them over this and other stupid policy/staffing choices at their organization.

I'm trying to think what century that could have been? Not coming up with any ideas. The virtue signaling arms race is one way to part the wealth from the wealthy. Just not seeing the problem here.

This is what happens when you get hundreds of inherited wealth nobodies who can't even do basic math naming institutions after themselves. Because they're inhumanly wealthy and are "giving back". Yeah thanks.
In the past (and in other countries) we used to have a system where people "give back" in a systematic way (we called it taxation) and money is directed into worthy causes including neuroscience because it was for the common good. Institutions then got names like "Einstein" or "Newton" or "Max Planck". They must have inherited a lot of money too, I guess.
