Reports are coming in from all across the web that Marvel Comics icon Stan Lee has died:

Stan Lee—the Marvel Comics legend responsible for cultural icons from Spider-Man and Iron Man to X-Men and Black Panther—has died according to multiple reports from places like TMZ and The Hollywood Reporter [(THR)].

THR spoke with a source that said Lee died early Monday morning at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. TMZ spoke to Lee's daughter, J.C., who said an ambulance rushed to Lee's Hollywood Hills home early Monday morning to take him to Cedars-Sinai. That outlet noted Lee had suffered several illnesses over the last year or so, including dealing with pneumonia. Lee was 95 years old.

[...] Indisputably, Lee's decades-spanning career has spawned some of the most beloved pop culture characters and franchises of all time. He began working on comics as an assistant at Timely Comics in 1939; that entity would eventually morph into Marvel Comics in the 1960s. Alongside other eventual giants of the industry like Jack Kirby and Steve Ditko, Lee helped create seemingly every adored comic hero this side of Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman: in addition to the credits above, Lee had a hand in the Hulk, Doctor Strange, the Fantastic Four, Daredevil, and characters like Ant-Man and Thor.

Stan Lee: Ex-manager of comic book legend charged with elder abuse

The former manager of comic book co-creator Stan Lee has been charged with elder abuse against the late writer. Kyle Morgan is facing five counts of abuse against Lee - including false imprisonment, fraud and forgery - all stemming from an incident last summer.

The Marvel superhero visionary died in November last year aged 95.

A spokesperson for Los Angeles Superior Court confirmed an arrest warrant for Mr Morgan - who is yet to comment - had been issued.

[...] The charges follow previous filings against Mr Morgan in May and June last year, including falsely reporting an emergency and falsely reporting a crime, along with a probation violation. This culminated in a judge granting a restraining order brought by Lee's family, after Mr Morgan was accused of moving the magnate out of his home at midnight to isolate him from his caregivers. Speaking to Variety at the time, Mr Morgan denied the accusations.

before he fell prey to the SJW scourge

Marvel and DC were always social engineering propaganda of sorts. SJW specifically, that ship has sailed when they introduced Wonder Woman in 1941:

Wonder Woman was created by the American psychologist and writer William Moulton Marston (pen name: Charles Moulton),[2] and artist Harry G. Peter. Marston's wife, Elizabeth, and their life partner, Olive Byrne,[5] are credited as being his inspiration for the character's appearance.[2][6][7][8][9] Marston's comics featured his ideas on DISC theory,[10] and the character drew a great deal of inspiration from early feminists, and especially from birth control pioneer Margaret Sanger; in particular, her piece "Woman and the New Race".

There's always an agenda. If you can't find it it's because you take the values presented for granted.

The inevitable happened. You can't use the same piece of kryptonite against Superman twice.

He can't fly, he can only jump and go fast because he's used to much higher gravity. WAIT...he CAN fly! Yeah.

You may have just cleared up why I have always disliked Superman. I could never quite put my finger on it.

I am old enough to remember the crushing disappointment after seeing the 1978 Superman movie (which Wikipedia notes enjoyed critical acclaim).

My mates thought I was nuts, but I just never "believed" Superman.

The Batman movie with Jack Nicholson I thought was pretty good, but then Batman was actually at risk at some point. Then, of course DC (or whoever owns the rights) has just repeated the formula every few years to suck further blood out of the stone.

I was however trying to make the point that the whole superhero genre made lots of money, which attracted the attention of the MBA crowd, who did what they do to everything they touch. They turned it into a widget factory, and proceeded to churn out copies of what sells, which is a good thing if you're making TV's, but stops working pretty quickly for anything with any creativity in it.

It is not the sexuality or skin colour of the protagonists that annoys me. It's the bland corporate paint by numbers story lines, and lack of depth.

I can't watch Star Wars, Star Trek, or any superhero movies any more. Fortunately there are plenty of enjoyable, original things I can watch, so I will vote with my wallet.

Jews were often denied the ability to enter prestigious careers back in the early to mid 20th Century, which is why a lot of them ended up in entertainment.

I remember a great anecdote about the legal profession from the same time. Jews were not invited to join prestigious commercial law firms back in the 1950's, so they found what legal work they could. That included mergers and acquisitions, which was considered a 'dirty business' back in the 1950's and 1960's.
