This last year has been pretty challenging for me personally, which is why I haven't commented as much as I normally might have. There have been a couple of big changes in my life at the end of the year so will be interesting to see what happens over the next 12 months...

They're flying past way too fast these days. Better grab hold of this one and get as much out of it as you can!
Any plans?

I have just completed a mega-trip to the UK which resulted in me driving over 3000km inside the UK to visit every known living relative on the English side of my family. It is probably the last time that I will see some of them. I followed that with a Christmas break in Toulouse with my French family. I am now back home and looking for a day or two of rest, starting my usual routine next Monday. I also became a great-grandfather but I can take no credit for that achievement.
I have no long-term plans except for a visit much later this year to the Inverness/Aberdeen area to visit friends who live in the Grampian region. (And I hate whisky!)
Plenty of work to do keeping the house looking good and doing minor repairs so that, along with continuing my French lessons and supporting this site should keep me busy.

...a happy, healthy, and prosperous New Year!

It is broken at the point of its creation, which means I don't have to worry about breaking it.

My research into choosing a New Year's resolution continues, and I have decided to put them in an arbitrary but logical order: Arithmetical. My New Years resolution of choice is the first one that cannot be described in a finite number of words.
My friend Dr. Gödel recommends that I only make New Year's resolutions where achieving them requires me to break them. He finds it impossible to decide on one each year.
