However, if you really do wanna pursue this then I recommend you be fully prepared to do a lot of pedantic splitting of hairs over things like 'just desserts'. Some of it you'll be able to rightly identify as 'hate', but a lot of it is just going to be his own words thrown back at him. Personally I think you're gonna have trouble sorting that all out, seeing as how he's a victim of his own decisions that have cost a number of people in this country so much.
I have a friend who is burying his mother this week, he has immediate family members who have been rather noisy on the 'freedumb-mask' front leading right up to her passing. Being a liberal, I can see how you'd write that. However, observing liberals' hateful attitudes and behaviours, especially over the past 4 years, I'm quite stunned when a liberal voices concern and well-wishes for Trump, as many have. May just be PR on their parts; it's certainly out of character.
I have some thoughts for you: some people will listen and heed warnings; others don't, gamble, and lose. Some die from their indiscretion. Some get hurt and learn. Some who survive are emboldened and commit even more foolish acts.
That Trump (et al) is infected is sobering to many. Hopefully most will learn and be more careful and cautious.
I for one hope Trump apologizes for being cavalier about COVID, and makes some big changes.

I've seen far more headlines detailing Dem attempts to rig elections, than I have seen Rep attempts.
At the moment, the governor of Texas is being taken to task for demanding that ballots may only be deposited in a single place in each county, which is unreasonable.
There are half dozen instances of ballot harvesting by Democrats, with Ilhan Omar being the primary highly visible culprit. Then, there are the cases like Pennsylvania, where ballots were discarded unlawfully. It isn't clear which "side" was at fault, but those particular ballots were for Trump.
The whole fiasco with the USPS still seems a storm in a teacup to me. Even accepting that the new head of the USPS is a fuckwit, his directives never threatened the ability of the post office could deliver the mail. Much ado about nothing, there.

Millions were disenfranchised in the last presidential election by Republicans stealing their right to vote. Stupid shit like challenging David M. Gonzalez voting multiple times because there was a David S Gonzalez 3 states over, and a David R Gonzalez on the other coast. They only challenged "ethnic" sounding names. Complete bullshit. Closing voting places in minority urban areas, so poor folks will get discouraged by the line winding around the block, and give up-- Republicans assume that their base are rich folks, and rural white racists, so won't be hurt by these closings. The latest chicanery of the Republican Party is to try to reduce the number of people who can vote at all by fucking with the US Postal service. The Republican Party have decided that the fewer people that vote, the better for them. But, all the while the Republicans are stealing elections, they keep pointing everywhere else and *falsely* claiming election fraud.
Seriously, do some fact checking. You will find that *everything* you hear on Fox / from the Republican Party members is a lie. And, only most of what you hear from that other shitty party, the Democrats, is a lie.

It didn't displace any stories (it was slotted in between two of them without changing their release times) and you can choose not to click on it. You could use an RSS reader that displays headlines only to make that easier for you, instead of using the front page.

Yeah, I'd say that's breaking news.
Further, I have watched a parent struggle with (and ultimately lose their battle) Acute respiratory distress syndrome [wikipedia.org]. Its symptoms were very much like COVID-19. Exhausted all the time due to lack of oxygen making it through the body. Struggling to breathe. On a ventilator, so can't talk. Going back and forth from the ICU (Intensive Care Unit) and the CCU (Critical Care Unit -- 24/7 coverage by a health professional). I am no fan of Trump, but I would not wish that on anyone.
I remember a time when the president of the US being ill or injured was a time when the country pulled together in support. (e.g. Kennedy: assassination; Nixon: phlebitis; Ford: assassination attempts)
In the meantime, you can be absolutely certain that the leaders of other countries are paying very close attention to this development. Unlikely, but should the disease progress to the point that Trump is debilitated (he *is* in his 70s and obese) -- that means VP Mike Pence becomes President. He also has responsibility for the "nuclear football".
My biggest fear is that he comes down with a mild case and claims his experience is representative of all cases. If he came down with a major case, spent time in the hospital on a ventilator, and adopted (and encouraged) mask wearing -- that could do so much to help stem the tide of this pandemic.

Yes, it would be good if leaders who dismiss COVID-19, then become infected with the virus, would start to take this matter seriously. Unfortunately, that doesn't seem to be happening.
I get it, this is news, and it's very important. If Trump develops serious symptoms like Boris Johnson did, that'a a huge deal. It's also something that could swing the election, if there are concerns about Trump's health and ho he's going to recover from this virus.

Uhhhmmmm, yes. Throughout my life, I've accumulated a small collection of "go to hells", at least half of those spoken in jest. I've heard preachers threatening hellfire on congregations if they didn't mend their ways. But I've never met ANYONE who throws around the hellfires like 'Zumi does.

The most good that can come of this would be if Trump had a bit of a rough time, and he and his supporters started taking the risk of COVID seriously. But, to wish that on even a horrible nasty person like Trump would make the wisher pretty terrible too. But, I fear if Trump sails through this, that it will only encourage more irresponsibility on his and his supporters parts.
Damned if you have a conscious and you do wish harm, and damned if you don't wish harm as the body count in the US mounts.

We're not mad at him that he's an "unbeliever". We're mad at him because he:
- threw away the previous administration's pandemic response plans [vanityfair.com].
- knew the gravity of the situation and lied about it to the public [youtube.com].
- used the power of the federal government to steal necessary medical equipment from hospitals and states that tried to order it [latimes.com], an act that got some doctors and nurses as well as non-medical patients killed. (One of the doctors directly affected by this move was my sister, who was lucky enough to have access to backup equipment that was current in the 1940's or so.)
- constantly contradicted his own medical experts [go.com], turning what should have been a non-partisan public health effort into a very partisan argument over whether you believe the president or people who actually know what they're talking about. Oh, which has also made the problem far bigger and last far longer than it should have.
- took money allocated for small business loans, blocked oversight on where the money was going [politico.com], and redirected it to large businesses, some of which were his own [wsfa.com], causing thousands of small businesses to be forced to close.
- shut down unemployment benefits for the roughly 40 million people laid off as a result of Covid-19 [washingtonpost.com], likely leading to millions of foreclosures and evictions [aspeninstitute.org]. Oh, which just makes the economic problems even worse, and also got more workers infected and/or killed.
The only thing that stops a bad guy with a compiler is a good guy with a compiler.

He's the duly elected president. The nation gave him the power to revise government plans.
He was advised and made his decision on what he thought best for the country. As elected politicians are supposed to do.
The medical supplies went to where governors demonstrated a need to serve the greatest number of people. Like NYC. Of course, the need never materialized, but that is something you should take up with Cuomo.
We elect politicians to make decisions for us, not doctors with histories of sitting in their offices screwing up disease response for 30+ years.
Businesses were forced to close due to state action. Large businesses having to lay off their employees can also have a disastrous effect on the local economy. Just remember Bush and Obama giving money to bail out banks and General Motors.
State governments killing the economy for political purposes should not count on federal funding to bail them out for their bad decisions.

I'm the AC you're replying to. I think civility is important and I think it crosses lines to wish something like ARDS on anyone. I'm not comfortable with it. It's a false dichotomy to assume that disavowing such rhetoric means I'm a Trump supporter.
1) I'm going to vote for Joe Biden. I want Trump removed from office, either through the election or by impeaching him for his many crimes.
2) Trump is a racist. He's a white supremacist. Racism and white supremacy are intrinsically evil and must ALWAYS be condemned without reservation. Full stop.
3) Trump and his administration are responsible for an array of human rights violations. These include the atrocities in the ICE concentration camps and gassing protesters in Lafayette Square for Trump's photo op. Trump, Pence, and other top officials in the administration should be tried for crimes against humanity. I want to put the Trump administration on trial, either in federal court or using the precedent of the Nuremberg trials.
4) It's very clear that the Trump family has engaged in a variety of fraud on a massive scale for decades. The complicit parties should be prosecuted and be forced to repay everyone they've defrauded.
I'm not a defender of Trump. I want Trump removed from office by measures consistent with the Constitution, then for him to be brought ot justice for his many crimes.
