Tonight, @FLOTUS and I tested positive for COVID-19. We will begin our quarantine and recovery process immediately. We will get through this TOGETHER!

A report from c|net adds:

White House physician Dr. Sean Conley said in a memorandum late Thursday that the president and first lady were "both well at this time, and they plan to remain at home within the White House during their convalescence."

The announcement of the president and first lady's positive coronavirus test results came just hours after the revelation that top White House aide Hope Hicks had tested positive for the virus as well. The president indicated in an earlier tweet that he and the first lady had begun the quarantine process.

Hope Hicks, who has been working so hard without even taking a small break, has just tested positive for Covid 19. Terrible! The First Lady and I are waiting for our test results. In the meantime, we will begin our quarantine process!

I do whole-heartedly agree with you that wishing for his demise is totally beneath the character put forth by the people you're criticizing.

Being a liberal, I can see how you'd write that. However, observing liberals' hateful attitudes and behaviours, especially over the past 4 years, I'm quite stunned when a liberal voices concern and well-wishes for Trump, as many have. May just be PR on their parts; it's certainly out of character.

I have some thoughts for you: some people will listen and heed warnings; others don't, gamble, and lose. Some die from their indiscretion. Some get hurt and learn. Some who survive are emboldened and commit even more foolish acts.

That Trump (et al) is infected is sobering to many. Hopefully most will learn and be more careful and cautious.

I for one hope Trump apologizes for being cavalier about COVID, and makes some big changes.

Bear in mind that the news places you listen to also told you Obama was going to take all your guns and a bunch of other things that never happened.

He won't make big changes until he's evicted from the white house.

Thank goodness we have a moratorium on evictions until the Covid-19 has passed. But not on Fumigations.
