Welcome to the new site everyone. As penance for my embarrassing triple posting earlier, I have been asked by the admins to post a link to our lovely bug tracker, which can be found at http://sylnt.us/bugs. If you notice any odd behavior around the site, please don't hesitate to submit a notice. Thank you, everyone.

I had the 'invalid bare' thing when trying to registered, but below it is another 'Create Account' - Being a risky kid of guy, I threw caution to the wind and clicked it. My account then got created without issue.:)
Also, it might be worth disabling the Availability Check button seeing as like my goggles, it does nothing!...
-Jar.

This happened to me, and just for kicks I tried a different email address--it worked instantly. The 2nd email address that worked was about half the length of the "invalid" one--maybe a bug around the length?
Funny, but I had to use a *longer* email address when registering. My first attempt got the 'invalid-bare' error, presumably because of some sloppy email address validation. (My normal address is 8 characters long including the @ sign, admittedly short but completely RFC-compliant.)
Yeah, I encoutered that one too. Seems the form on the "Create Account" page ( http://soylentnews.org/my/newuser [soylentnews.org] ) is a bit malformed. If you change

Saw people complaining on /. about that.
It happened to me too.
PS: I miss the ability to collapse threads.

I miss this too, it's a bit of a pain trying to view all comments. I usually browse at -1.
