Welcome to the new site everyone. As penance for my embarrassing triple posting earlier, I have been asked by the admins to post a link to our lovely bug tracker, which can be found at http://sylnt.us/bugs. If you notice any odd behavior around the site, please don't hesitate to submit a notice. Thank you, everyone.

This may be a feature from a semi-recent redesign, but it would be nice to not leave the page to read a lower-ranked comment. Loading the comment in place on the page was a fun feature on that old news site.

Workaround already in place - I remember using tabbed browsing in the past to keep track of my place in the discussion before, and I can go back to that for now.

You can set your comments to 'nested' as opposed to threaded to list all the comments. I do agree though having that small bit of ajax that loads in new comments is too useful to leave out.

+1 for nested! This works well for now.

I believe that on-click expanding of below-threshold comments is on the to-do list folks.

Yeah but it sucks when you want to open a comment link in a new tab. If the devs here can do it without breaking the browser, I won't feel like punching a wall on the odd occasion I'm using another machine and the browser has scripting enabled.
