I'm on Yahoo mail, it was in my spam folder as well. Plus, I had to install Thunderbird to vote as Yahoo's webmail interface is really, really bad. I should have installed T-bird years ago.
I don't know if my vote got through. Humorously, T-bird downloaded the inbox holding a few hundred emails, and when I responded to the Soylent vote Yahoo said my account was suspended for "suspicious activity." Half an hour later it reported that the mail was sent, and I had no trouble emailing my daughter. Had to reboot the computer and the phone at the same time to get it working again.
I used the old Yahoo Mail interface for literally 10 years; then they finally shoved the new one down my throat with no way to opt out. So long, Yahoo...sigh.
Plus they would start sporadically dropping all my incoming emails for days at a time. That's kind of, y'know, THE CORE FUNCTIONALITY OF AN EMAIL SERVICE--the ability to get emails!
-- "Is that really true?"
"I just spent the last hour telling you to think for yourself! Didn't you hear anything I said?"
Yes, that interface is horrible but Thunderbird makes Yahoo's interface unnecessary. Aside from the bad interface my only problem has been them sticking legitimate communications in the spam folder; soylent isn't the only victim.
