    The rank and file are.
...though I'm not so sure about "overwhelmingly".
There are folks in that lot who appeared normal to me (e.g. Dennis Hopper) who I found out supported Republicans.
Robert Taylor infamously cooperated with the McCarthyites and couldn't wait to name names.

The folks who hand out the marching orders and who can deep-six your project, however, strike me as mostly Plantation Capitalists with no particular commitment to civil liberties.

    .
I read the linked article (TheIntercept) before I saw this journal post.
I said "WTF? How did this guy's stuff get approved by that site?"

CNN was mentioned several times as "Liberal".
CNN is pro-Plantation Capitalist and pro-Authoritarian.
Fairness and Accuracy In Reporting is constantly calling them out on their bullshit.

    .
Pretty much all libertarians and most conservatives absolutely despise what the Republican party has become

Well, "Conservative" and "Radical" are opposites and over the last 8 years, as the Donkeys have shifted toward Crony Capitalism and Authoritarianism, they've taken the spot that the GOP used to hold [politicalcompass.org]--while the latest among "The party of Lincoln" (heh) have closed in on the Totally Fascist corner. country music aside

Yeah. I once thought Larry Gatlin was normal.
...then I heard him talking politics.
