Not to take potshots at the "other site" but damn.

I had mostly stopped checking it because the comment signal-to-noise ratio had become so bad. But now they're running these giant floating ads that cover half the comment-text so you can't actually read them anyway.

    When /. changed ownership, they sent out a notification email about the change in conditions. I emailed Slashdot and told them to remove everything and never contact me. IIRC I checked to see if I could login about a month later and it didn't work.

    You can ask us to remove all your account data, stop processing your personal data and to stop contacting you for marketing purposes at any time.
