America's new president gave an address to a joint session of Congress. The Los Angeles Times posted a full transcript of the speech (along with remarks from its staff that may require Javascript to view); Bloomberg uploaded a video of the event.

The New York Times called it "the most presidential speech Mr. Trump has ever given — delivered at precisely the moment he needed to project sobriety, seriousness of purpose and self-discipline."

Slightly fewer lies than normal = WIN? [independent.co.uk]

Oh well, at least we know he can read. That's a positive development.

Yeah, we can lay that baby down to rest. Unless he read the speech ahead of time and didn't have to think on his feet...

Thanks for the fact-check link, yet again he shows that he is a lying conman telling his supporters what they want to hear instead of the truth.

We have a blatant liar in charge of our country, yet his supporters still believe it will go well? No fixing stupid I guess, not until it finally hits them personally I imagine.

Bernie Sanders can say something and get "Mostly True", then Donald Trump says the same thing months later and it gets "Pants on Fire". Biased? Oh yeah. The supposed "fact checking" is just another dirty way to do battle.

Really, it's a fact only if a favored politician says it??? That isn't how facts work.

Saying 51 when the real number is 51.3, and stating the source of the claim - mostly true

Saying 59, not stating a source, and being almost 10% off the mark to boot - mostly false

      Addendum:

AC's claim that 51 and 59 are the "same thing" - PANTS ON FIRE
AC's claim that Trump's 59 statement received "Pants on Fire" - PANTS ON FIRE

Unfortunately any win is a loss when those speaking have never told any truth any time, ever.
How do you know what is the truth, and what is the lie? Tough problem. Your problem.
