It doesn't stop at the home - you can be scanned infra-red, radar, and WiFi interference patterns through your home walls, videoed through windows, etc.
It has been done to celebrities for decades, Andy Warhol was a lightweight - we're all getting 15+ years of fame in the future, thanks to the advancement of monitoring technology.

You missed the obvious... All those webcams and microphones and even speakers (software can pipe the mic input to the speakers) you think are off
