I was saddened to see how bad the ratings were on the Emmys -- the worst ever. The smallest audience ever. Because they had .@SeanSpicer and .@Stephen_Colbert. LOSERS!

Might the Emmys have been competing for viewers with PBS's documentary on the Vietnam war?

The big winner was Sunday Night Football on NBC. 7.1 share! The Orville did great too, going for the 18-49 demo. The one, as I've said, that matters. You put on a show about the Vietnam War, that's going to skew older. Advertisers don't want that. It's like you're putting on a show about the Civil War, about what was happening with regard to the Civil War. People don't realize, you know, the Civil War -- if you think about it, why? People don't ask that question, but why was there the Civil War? Why could that one not have been worked out? People don't care. You make a show about that, nobody will watch. I wasn’t a fan of the Vietnam War, that I can tell you. But I wasn’t a marcher. Let me tell you, I owned the Miss Universe pageant. And one of the contests, of all places, was in Vietnam, which was very nice. I got a case of the shakes It was in Vietnam. Vietnam's a hot country. But, you know, when I was going to high school, when I was going to college Vietnam was like the big deal. Like you have to leave college and go fight. And I said, 'excuse me?' Now I'm going to Vietnam for a beauty pageant. For our young Americans, it doesn't mean anything. Vietnam is just the place they fly to for their spring break. 🇺🇸
