I've said this many times already, but the NFL is being dismantled and doing it this way is a good way to save face and is also the best compromise. They could claim that they tried to please everyone and ended up pleasing noone, which resulted in their fade to obscurity.

The NFL wrote its own death-warrant years ago with ever-retarded rule changes which made it impossible to take a shit in the locker-room without a penalty. Hell, the reason why quarterbacks went to long-snaps on every play was because of the acceptance of homosexuality and not every center wanted homo hands on his nuts. The hands of a hetero man on their nuts was okay, but not when its a homo's hand on your nuts.

I know this because I played center, briefly, back in the day when the center snapped the ball right into the quarterback's hands, which were resting on the center's nuts*.

* Okay, okay. It is true that I played center in those days, but it is not true that the quarterback's hand was on your nuts -- that would have made every snap quite painful -- but rather the quarterback's hand rested on your taint.
