Very honored to have Governor @ricardorossello of #PuertoRico 🇵🇷 with us at the @WhiteHouse! We had a great time with him! He's a tremendous guy, very smart & very funny (as smart as the President of the Virgin Islands, who I met)! Unlike the disgraceful .@CarmenYulinCruz. I asked him, "do your folks have power yet, are they getting power?" He says "not politically." 😂
#PuertoRico is doing AMAZINGLY, we're doing a terrific job there. Like you've never seen in your life. In spite of massive, massive debt. We want to make sure that we put in debt and that is absolutely protected. Certainly any money that’s put in by people whether it’s public or private, they’re going to want to come in first position and that’s very important, and I think the governor understands that. I give ourselves a 10. We have provided so much, so fast. It was probably the most difficult when you talk about relief, when you talk about search, when you talk about all the different levels. Even when you talk about lives saved. If you look at the number, I mean this was, I think, it was worse than Katrina. It was in many ways worse than anything people have ever seen. It went right through the middle of the island, right through the middle of Puerto Rico. We were actually there before the storm hit. We did a great job. A perfect, perfect job. TEN OUT OF TEN! It’s very difficult for a disaster relief to be a 10. Ours is a 10, a really great job. The best. As brilliant as when I nominated Neil Gorsuch, of the Supreme Court, to the Supreme Court! #PRStrongpic.twitter.com/Op2xDZxvNc
