    The people that will be remembered because they were recorded on semi-durable media will be:

    Sinatra, Hope, and Crosby
    Glenn Miller
    Goodman
    Dorsey
    Ella Fitzgerald
    The Duke
    Rosemary Clooney (they gotta etch her picture in glass!)
    Elvis.. who?

    These are people worth remembering.

    For everybody else it will be a giant game of "telephone"
