    It looks like that if I reply to my own post, I DO NOT get a notification/message (presumably because I should already be aware of what I did).

    Will try replying to myself, as an Anonymous Coward, instead.

    Looks like checking the "Reply Anonymously" checkbox also does not work. Probably based on IPID? That suggests I need to reply... using either another Nickname, and/or as an AC from a different IP address.
