A new study showed a link between strong right-wing views and fear of disease and increased concern about hygiene.

The study showed that people who are more offended by bad odors are more likely to support authoritarian leaders, such as Donald Trump.

In the past, disgust at bad odors was important for survival. The scientists suggested that the disgust at unfamiliar odors may be linked to a desire to keep apart from "culturally unfamiliar" groups.

[...] In the new study, 160 people were rated on their aversion to bodily odours on a scale to one five and their responses compared to their political views. It found that each point higher on the disgust scale was associated with feeling 7.5 points more positive towards authoritarian leaders.

[...] It showed that people who were more disgusted by smells were also more likely to vote for Donald Trump than those who were less sensitive.

    A) I have no problem with the communists in Europe holding their nose when we fart. It's the sniffing enthusiastically when they fart that annoys me.

    B) Not remotely what I'm doing. I'm saying you know fuck-all about his economic policies and their results if you in any way admire them or consider them centrist.

Look, dipshit, when you consider everything that's been tried the world over, the New Deal and such programs as the Civilian Conservation Corps *are* centrist. I don't consider them that; they *are.* They are roughly midway between Communism's idea of the people seizing the means of production and the end result of laissez-faire capitalism, that being single or near-single ownership of pretty much everything.

You've shown your near-complete economic illiteracy on this forum several times before. I suggest very strongly that you stop embarrassing yourself on the topic.

Darlin, just because something is two clicks off of absolute insanity does not make it sane. Your own position on the capitalism vs. communism scale is coloring your judgment. Badly.

You don't seem to read very well when it comes to things you have strong feelz--excuse me, feelings--about, Uzzard.

Unless you mean there are only 5 "clicks" on this scale from end to end, the New Deal cohort is assuredly not "2 clicks from insanity." Even a worker's collective, such as championed by OriginalOwner, is far closer to Communism than the New Deal. Your lack of both facts and intellectual honesty does not change reality, and anyone who reads your economically-illiterate horseshit can tell what your major malfunction is.
