If there's another Parkland situation, if we were going to have another of those, I'd run in there even if I didn't have a weapon. I'd NEGOTIATE. And make an amazing deal.
Like the time in November 1991 when Marla and I -- we were married then -- were on our way to a Paula Abdul concert in New York. And I saw a hoodlum beating a man very badly with a baseball bat. Very badly. Someone in the car looked over and said, "gee, look at that, it’s a mugging." I said to my driver to stop the car because it was brutal-looking. Marla said, "please don't do this." But I got out of the car. The guy with the bat looked at me and I said, "look, you've gotta stop this, put down the bat." I guess he recognized me because he said, "Mr. Trump, I didn't do anything wrong." I said, "How could you not do anything wrong when you're whacking a guy with a bat?" Then he ran away. Because of me. Because I NEGOTIATE like nobody else can.
And Pyeongchang, sounds a lot like Pyongyang, so many people get those mixed up. But they have the Olympics going on at Pyeongchang in South Korea. The North Koreans marched together with South Koreans under the same flag at the opening ceremony. Under the unification flag, it means getting back together as one country. Beautiful ceremony! And they made one team for the women's hockey (the outfits for that are much too heavy, show us some skin, ladies). And this is just the beginning, there's going to be much more. Because of me, all because of me. Because of my speeches and my tweets. Nobody could put Korea back together, I'm doing it.
And nobody could stop the school shootings, I'm going to get something done eventually. I'm moving very strongly on it. So many of our politicians -- especially our Republicans -- are afraid of the NRA. They have less power over me. What do I need? I wasn't afraid of a hoodlum with a baseball bat. I wasn't afraid of Little Rocket Man. And I'm not afraid of the NRA. Chris Cox has done tremendous work on behalf of our Second Amendment. And Wayne LaPierre has been an unflinching leader in the fight for freedom. The Fake News said I couldn't get to 270 in the Electoral College. I got 306 and the NRA was a big part of that. But we're going to do the right thing. And I won't let them stand in the way!
