Brett Kavanaugh has been confirmed as an Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of the United States. The vote was 50-48 in favor of Kavanaugh.
Senators Collins, Flake, and Manchin had already announced their intentions to confirm Kavanaugh before the vote was held. Senator Lisa Murkowski, who was previously ready to vote "no", agreed to vote "present" instead so that Senator Steve Daines could attend his daughter's wedding instead of being present in the Senate to support Kavanaugh.

In addition to the other comments, you're a dumbass because you failed to notice that many of us, like the person who posted the comment you replied to, are sick of the uniparty. That means we're sick of your vaunted Republican Party, too. I'm sorry your head is so far up your ass you can't see how the Republican Party and the Democratic Party are both complicit in the growing size and intrusiveness of government, the police/surveillance state, massive military spending, foreign wars none of us support, tax cuts for the superwealthy (which you aren't), austerity, the bad joke of our health care industry, corporate welfare in general, and many more things that are destroying this country.
The Republican Party hardly ever wins... you're fucking delusional, man.
