Yeah, I'm really not here to watch people do a goofy jig because they stole a few of Dice's users. And those polls (including this one) amount to a goofy jig.

My Slashdot replacement is making me miss Slashdot.

    I want:

Also, less-sarcastic options, in case that's not clear.

When I see sarcasm, such as in this poll's answers, I don't know whether the option is meant as a yes this, or a ha ha f___ that.

I'm actually seriously on a bit of a rant here.

"Why Patent Reform Will Never Happen"
Well, I'd NEVER want to see a story about that topic, because I want patent reform to happen. So I would not choose this option... despite being very interested in stories about patent reform. Sarcasm = fail.

"Global Warming Something Something ... Hurricanes!"
So, with this on the front page, am I to assume SoylentNews is run by global warming deniers? I ask this because this wording reminds me of "blah blah terrorists 9/11" i.e. the way you make fun of a pass-anything/believe-anything congress. Sarcasm = fail.

"Why Google Glasses are so Awesome, and Why I Got Punched in the Face"
Ahh, so SoylentNews also believes Glassholes are a thing (as opposed to believing that violent, entitled, cro-magnon American Luddites who punch people for owning a piece of tech, are a thing) Seriously, I am about one more of these, away from going back to Slashdot and declaring SoylentNews to be a bunch of trolling anti-intellectuals.

You are what you present. With these polls, SoylentNews is presenting itself as having a conservative plebe agenda. Wtf.
