My friend Norman King has been working part-time for me to list all the homepage URLs of VC Portfolio Companies.
Earlier this evening I tried to list a certain robotics company but was unable to figure out where they were. That company did mention their "acquisition" by another robotics firm, so I looked there to, only to be turned away empty handed.
So I googled for "Foocorp Location", whereupon Wikipedia yielded the insight that they were out of business. It also said that the robotics firm that had acquired them had only bought their IP.
HOWEVER!
Neither Foocorp nor their IP-acquiring company claimed Foocorp had any open positions. I expect the continued existence of their site enables them to sell off their existing inventory.
So.
There.

I don't give her money for drugs, but I _do_ see to it that she gets enough to eat and sleep, and that she has a safe place to be where she won't get sexually assaulted.
From time to time I call 9-1-1, the ambulance hauls her to the ER and she "AMAs" - leaves Against Medical Advice.
But she has Bipolar-Type Schizoaffective Disorder too. She's been off her meds well over a week, and has voices in her head that constantly speak her own thoughts back to her. While she intends to make an appointment for a "Med Check" or Medication Adjustment but has not done so yet. It will take a minimum of two weeks before the appointment is actually scheduled, so I figure I can get her 5153ed.
The California Civil Code Section 5153 has the Lanterman-Petris-Short Act's criteria for a Ten-Day Psychiatric Hold As A Danger To Herself Or Others. I tried to get her 5153ed last night, unfortunately she managed to be completely rational when the EMTs evaluated her, though totally pissed off at me.
But that's OK! We cuddled on the couch for an entire hour after that.

Employers do not employ anyone. Instead they run shell companies and investment scams until they they go out of business and reorganize under new fake names. Fraudulent employers suck money out of the economy while talented skilled unemployed tech workers starve to death in poverty.
