Journal by Azuma Hazuki

Things I've noticed happen in the general vicinity of my posts:

- Fundie nutjobs reduced to curling up in a little ball, plugging their ears, and spewing either contentless religious copypasta (Freeman) or barely-coherent amateur apologia (Bot).
- The Shitey Uzzard degenerating into mudslinging and pretending (badly) not to care when defeated in arguments...every single one of them.
- Insecure manchildren accusing me of being a transsexual (some random AC) on one hand, and on the other, an actual transwoman accusing me of being a TERF (Kurenai).
- Creeps like VLM, KHallow, JMorris, Entropy, and all their kind simply giving the hell up and abandoning ship when faced with a proper down-smacking for their fallacious sociopathy.

When you have people on the fringes everywhere angry with you, each of them accusing you of the precise opposite on the spectrum they hate, you must be doing something right. In all my time here, I've never gone in for trolling, deception, or shitposting. I've always stood for what's right, and took the fight to those who would try to spread their noetic poisons, fighting it everywhere it appears for the sake of anyone unfortunate enough to encounter it, knowing full well the originators of such poison are by their own choice irredeemable, certainly so in this lifetime.

And my approach drives them nuttier than squirrel vomit.

Well boo fucking hoo. When someone on here tells me I'm bitchy or angry, I just laugh, because what they really mean is "you're making me uncomfortable by exposing my bullshit in such direct, uncompromising, profanity-laced ways." It's pretty obvious the accusations of being a transsexual come from sheltered, misogynist little manchildren who can't handle actual women speaking the plain, unvarnished truth to them, because they have so little truck with the opposite sex they've never seen it in the real world before. No, this insult to their manly honor cannot stand! ONLY another man could POSSIBLY have the balls, literal balls, to stand up to them! (And of course the kind of person who'd make this argument lumps MtFs under the heading of "man." I don't, though I do draw an important distinction between transwomen and cisgender women because, frankly, they are never going to know what it is to have a period or risk being pregnant).

Time to put on your big-boy undies and join the adult world! The toughest people I know are all women, including my own mother and some of the nurses at work. I'm a marshmallow compared to them.

And I don't regret anything, as painful as it's been sometimes. Am I a "nice girl?" No, and haven't been for several years, and you know what? It's better this way. "Nice girls" get used and taken advantage of and thrown away and never have their needs met. "Nice girls" are the permanent victims of tone trolling by people too frightened or too weak to deal with them as the full human beings they are. In this place, at this time, as this site sinks further and further into RWNJ decay, all it means is I'll fight all the harder.

What I hope this does is encourage the people on here who still seek the light to defend it. Hit back. We're seeing on a number of scales, from the President's capitulation on his stupid bullshit shutdown right down to the examples at the head of this post, that the sociopaths are like any bully: weak, cowardly, amoral types who don't expect and can't handle sustained, principled pushback. Part of it is that evil simply can't comprehend good, but mostly it comes down to how bullies work and have always worked. Anyone who wants to join me in fighting the good fight, please do: we've seen that it works.

though I do draw an important distinction between transwomen and cisgender women because, frankly, they are never going to know what it is to have a period or risk being pregnant

I do not think the terms transgender and cisgender as defined by Serano are compatible with this distinction. However, let us momentarily redefine the terms such that cisgender women meet these requirements and transgender women do not, regardless of legal status at birth.

Then I suppose then I have good company with many people assigned the female gender at birth, whom we might otherwise mistake for cisgender, who are infertile or otherwise have irregular menstruation. The definition here, however, allows us to keep postmenopausal women in the category of cisgender, but this has the side-effect of excluding all people assigned the female gender at birth from the cisgender status until they experience menarche.

We might momentarily consider takyon's artificial wombs, but that is presently ten years away [xkcd.com] if not 25+, pending of course further updates.¹ However, we must give more serious consideration to the case of the women who required implantation with her mother's uterus before she was able to become pregnant. Does she then start out as a transgender woman and gain cisgender status only thanks to medical advances in the treatment of infertility? That question could apply to a wide range of medical advances, but birth control does not have the effect of transforming a cisgender woman to a transgender woman for the same reason a post-menopausal woman remains cisgender.

Will we then need to create a hierarchy in which the number of children a woman gives live birth to becomes an important metric? Perhaps we can find some kind of three-fifths compromise for women who give birth by cesarean section. Greer and Raymond may yet be vindicated by this line of reasoning :/, but fortunately we avoid the “one drop” rule Greer and Raymond seem to strive for. Abortion will remain outside of the scope of this comment, yet it must eventually come up in pursuit of the proposed distinction between cisgender and transgender women.

Additionally, I continue to reject the duty implied in the Gillette ad of “protecting the hunnies,” because this notion is bound up in patriarchy. Women are most certainly not “hunnies;” that is a patriarchal notion of womanhood. I reject any notion that I owe a single thing to somebody because of some comparison of their medical status to mine: from the threat of further collective and several punishment implied by the ad to the apparent requirement that I must offer educational services without compensation to cisgender women on the basis of finding our elusive cisgender female programmers.

The notion in the Gillette ad, like the eternal quest to find the cisgender female programmers, advocates for a caste system. The historical results of organizing society according to caste systems, especially caste systems along the lines of gender (and racialist theory), speak for themselves.

Recently, the TERF hive-mind reminded me that there is some supposed primal fear I am supposed to have of menstruation. It was presented to me that the trash cans in the women's restrooms at work are overflowing with used tampons and other feminine hygiene products, that menstrual blood is apparently splattered all over the wall and floor. My concerns with this are purely sanity, as I was not aware the feminine mystique prevents menstrual blood from harboring infectious diseases such as HIV, along with other pathogens it may acquire while drying on the walls and floor. (I am HIV negative and intend to stay that way, tyvm.)²

This supposed primal fear is a wholly bigoted notion rooted in chauvinism, because women who do not have children, cannot have children, or have irregular or entirely absent menstruation—but were assigned the female gender at birth—are not required to face such ridiculous notions as this supposed primal fear of menstruation. Additionally, my refusal to using the women's restroom is not even fundamentally hygienic in nature. (If it were, the implication would be that I believe that men's rooms are somehow more hygienic, which I can assure you they are not. The mystery of how shit winds up on a wall two feet above the toilet… you get the picture.) Thus if there is in fact no hygiene issue will blood all over the walls and floor, it has no bearing on which restroom I use. I simply have no desire of being arrested for “attempted rape.”

In any case, what test for the presence for such a primal fear of menstruation do you propose, and will this inform our determination of who exactly is cisgender and who is transgender?

What is it that your definitions of cisgender and transgender really seek to accomplish?

How will we let all those delusional women who were assigned the female gender at birth know that they have been stripped of all rights and privileges (whatever those may be) that come with the cisgender distinction, because they have not earned a red badge of courage, and what will that mean for them?

¹ I would like to offer the gods (and lizard people along with other ancient aliens) a heart-felt “fuck you” once again for their failure to exist and punish me for my heresy by giving me a free Aphroditecare sex change. I assure you, I will be able to handle it as well as the other 3.5 billion women on the planet, if not better, because unlike so many cisgender women, I actually paid the fuck attention in health class. Do not even get me started on cisfemale ignorance and mystification of female biology!

² I have no problem if other women would also like to use the men's room, and should that happen, then we will get to the bottom of any issues of male privilege that may be preventing the trash cans from being emptied. My hypothesis that the trash cans in the men's room will likewise wind up overflowing with tampons, which as I've said I simply do not give a flying fuck about, because my fundamental reason for using the men's room is that rape accusation. The overflowing trash can is a problem with capitalism, as expressed in the microcosm of a small business, and gender has little to do with it, as much as issues of gender can be separated from the larger issues of capitalism.
