As a fan of the Elite series (although I don't dare start playing Elite: Dangerous) I was drawn to this story, but wasn't expecting to be moved quite as much as I was. Well worth a read.

    I never saw the need for Elite. I always used Pica. 80 characters per line are sufficient, aren't they? :-)

    80 columns should be enough for anyone.

      There was never a need to advance beyond the 32 column TV Typewriter. Other than the occasionaly need to jiggle the prom after some of the characters morphed into “@“s.
