Not sure a long walk from the parking lot to the store really counts. At least, not where it counts. Now, if you're on a mission in the store, and just go, go, go, sure, that might count along with your long walk to/from the parking lot. A leisurely stroll from the parking lot into the store and back out, isn't going to do you a whole lot of good. Always parking up front and minimizing your walk time, sure isn't going to do you any favors, though.

I often park a long walk from a store while shopping, or use stairs instead of an elevator, which burns a few extra calories.
I will do some trails (3 - 8 km) when visiting State and National Parks.
I have broken up ice and shoveled a clear path for guests on a long (100+ meter) driveway.
I do not do anything at a gym.

Came here to ask this too (definition of exercise).
My arm/elbow and jaw muscles get an extreme workout as I shove glorious fatty foods into my mouth every minute I am awake.
