It's ok. He's expendable. The DNC can settle on Warren to keep interest high. And with a well divided congress she won't be a threat if she were to win.

But, then who's next? Schiff, Schumer, Pelosi, Barr, Giuliani, the whole cabinet? Anybody important?

The prez?? He'll skate, and now with more fired up support.

So then, sorry to ask twice, but who profits from this circus?

    In the D lineup? According to the latest polls, Warren.

    Honestly, I don't think she's a winning pick for the Dems. She's a bigger, shriller scold than Hillary and Al Gore put together in a blender, and more tightly identified with the edge-of-the-coastline, progressive mob than Hillary ever was.

    All Trump would have to do to beat her is to break down for everyone how their taxes would look with Warren's wishlist. The middle class would bloc-vote against her on those grounds alone. Right now a family with two kids and an income of $75K is reasonably positioned (depending on local cost of living, yaddyaddayadda), and pays damn near no income taxes. Under a Denmark-like plan that would be a big, fat chunk out of their family income - and very few people will cheerfully pay over ten thousand dollars a year to see Warren over Trump.

    But I dunno. Anything's possible, right? Warren/Sanders in 2020? Could happen.
