No, I said "Ham Redder", which, as everyone knows (again!) is Spam, literally "Spiced Processed Animal Meat". Seems you meet the definition, fustaraicachisanich! khallow is the man, only a tiny, small-handed, impoverished man. But some day, mark my or his words, he will be one of the Captains of Industry, someone who carries weight in the community, and not just around his midriff. By Sucking up to the rich, you will some day become rich yourself, like a Kock brother, or a Walton, or possible a Mercer. [counterpunch.org] If you suck hard enough, the sky is the limit! khallow could end up being the "man", 'cause he certainly does suck (up) a lot.
fustakravicher, on the other hand, probably could only get a job as a Senate page, on the Republican side of the aisle, where they, um, "bend over a page" to mark their place in reading a bill. (As if Republicans could read, and if Republican Senators actually read bills, instead of just passing them on from ALEC. Pederasts!)
Oh, I get him. He is like a pane of glass to me. Float glass, like from the old days, which would sometimes have flaws in it, that allowed you to see what was not there. I think it was in the Novel, "Ceremony in Lone Tree", that some one claimed to be able to see buffalo still wandering through the town, when he looked just right through the float glass window of his hotel room. I get that. Don't make it real.
Between 1953 and 1957, Sir Alastair Pilkington and Kenneth Bickerstaff of the UK's Pilkington Brothers developed the first successful commercial application for forming a continuous ribbon of glass using a molten tin bath on which the molten glass flows unhindered under the influence of gravity.[6] The success of this process lay in the careful balance of the volume of glass fed onto the bath, where it was flattened by its own weight.[7] Full scale profitable sales of float glass were first achieved in 1960.
If you are referring to my economics-related scribblings, it's just rather normal, near libertarian opinion - defending the rights of unpopular groups because they're the first ones to be challenged. My take is that the pervasive violation of economic rights are one of the great sins of the modern developed world. The Man, aka the mundane business owner, is being suppressed and we suffer for it with fewer jobs, more centralized and less competitive businesses, a bunch of powerful bureaucrats and elite nannies telling us what to do, enormous tax revenue streams spent on making our lives worse, etc.
There's nothing magical about the Man, rich people, whatever. The point is that they're the unpopular outliers, the ones affected by a lot of bad regulations and violations of human economic freedom first. And they happen to have huge positive impacts on society when they're allowed to.
We should be asking who's next when Daddy Warbucks can't or won't cover the tab? The bill still gets paid.
