Some Democrats involved in the impeachment inquiry are beginning to suspect that certain witnesses have coordinated with each other ahead of testifying to ensure their stories do not conflict—the very outcome investigators are trying to avoid by conducting hearings behind closed doors.

So many Democrats are opposing Trump from the right, saying that he shouldn't take troops out of one particular region of Syria. Instead of being warmongers and supporting the military industrial complex, they could oppose Trump from the left by criticizing him for not actually taking all of our troops out of the region. They use the same 'Withdrawing now would be irresponsible!' and 'We have to support our allies!' arguments that were used in Vietnam and other wars, so anyone with a brain can see how this is a bad idea. But, war is one area where the vast majority of Democrats are all too similar to the Republicans, so only a few will take this principled stance at best. That's why all of the corrupt, warmongering, corporatist Democrats need to be primaried out of power by more progressive candidates who refuse to take money from corporations; that's the only way to avoid corruption, even if it puts the candidates at somewhat of a monetary disadvantage.
And, of course, none of the troops that Trump claimed to be withdrawing are actually leaving the middle east anyway, unsurprisingly; they're just being shuffled around to different areas.
