Smugglers have found an easy way to get through the vertical steel tube Mexican border wall. From https://www.washingtonpost.com/national/smugglers-are-sawing-through-new-sections-of-trumps-border-wall/2019/11/01/25bf8ce0-fa72-11e9-ac8c-8eced29ca6ef_story.html
The breaches have been made using a popular cordless household tool known as a reciprocating saw that retails at hardware stores for as little as $100. When fitted with specialized blades, the saws can slice through one of the barrier's steel-and-concrete bollards in minutes, according to the agents, who spoke on the condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to speak publicly about the barrier-defeating techniques.
After cutting through the base of a single bollard, smugglers can push the steel out of the way, creating an adult-size gap. Because the bollards are so tall — and are attached only to a panel at the top — their length makes them easier to push aside once they have been cut and are left dangling, according to engineers consulted by The Washington Post.
The taxpayer-funded barrier — so far coming with a $10 billion price tag — was a central theme of Trump's 2016 campaign, and he has made the project a physical symbol of his presidency, touting its construction progress in speeches, ads and tweets. Trump has increasingly boasted to crowds in recent weeks about the superlative properties of the barrier, calling it "virtually impenetrable" and likening the structure to a "Rolls-Royce" that border crossers cannot get over, under or through.
In other words, no one did any serious pen testing on the wall design, or it would have been obvious that with all that leverage, the top tie-in was easy to flex.

It's not "cultural", it historical, you gibbering idiot! A large part of the reason that their homelands are a mess is because of meddling in their internal affairs by the USA and other nations.
Really? Are you sure about that? You wouldn't happen to be pure-blooded native American, would you? I know I'm not. You do realize that the vast majority of us are descended from immigrants who came here from many different countries, right? For example, my grandparents came here from a mess of a country that at the time had recently been taken over by an Austrian corporal with dreams of world domination. He seemed to think that blue-eyed, blond-haired Aryans were the pinnacle of the evolutionary ladder, even though he wasn't one himself. (Go figure) I don't think that either I, my grandparents, my parents, my brothers, or anyone else in my extended family are threats to our American values. In fact, many would argue that this country was literally built by people that came here from "shit hole" countries. Given that, do you really understand American values? Do you really belong here? No, seriously. Do you really belong here? Are you sure?

Nope, sorry, it's cultural. You only get to blame someone else for your government or society from the time they interfere until you decide to do nothing about it or participate in it; after that the blame is entirely yours.
Drop the faux history lesson. It's a a bullshit red herring and you know it. The past has some wisdom to share but it does not tell you what you are or dictate the future.
Now as to immigration, I'm in favor of anyone and everyone who legitimately wants to become an American doing so as long as they A) do so in accordance with our laws and B) integrate into our culture rather than trying to wag the culture they're fleeing with them.
We're not called the Great American Melting Pot for no reason. Anything from immigrant culture that meshes with ours, we gleefully steal and make our own. That doesn't mean we're going to or even should allow the bits that oppose our values though.

When I was growing up in Michigan, in the heart of the Midwest, my parents and grandparents used to like to engage in some of their German customs. Mostly it occurred around holiday time. It didn't really bother anyone else in the community and no one appeared to mind too much. Now, I live in the Southwest. People here do things slightly...different. Mind you, not too much but it is a a noticeable change. People like chilies on just about everything. Lot more Spanish speaking people, but the vast majority of them know English too. Sometimes, you can see some Latinx folks dressed up and doing traditional dances in the old town square. From my perspective, that is about the extent of their "trying to wag the culture they're fleeing with them". So, is celebration of German heritage acceptable while Latinx not? If so, what in your view is the distinction?
What I see are people trying to flee oppressive conditions back home, much like what my grandparents were trying to do. What is it that you see here that is fundamentally opposed to "our values"? Be specific.

Sorry, it's "Latino". You idiots get to make up Spanish words even less than you get to make up English ones. Mind you, I completely understand why you hate the Spanish language; it only has two genders.
What you see are people raised in an oppressive culture that lead to a nation becoming a grade-A shithole. And you're inviting them to come here and keep doing exactly the same things. Further, they're not entitled to just waltz in because they want to, no matter how much you think they should be. If they want to integrate into American society, yay. If they want to bring their corruption and other criminality as a way of life up here, thanks just the same but we already have more than we want of those.
